Seeing Each Other (Cass)

Lucky hadn't seen Cass for awhile. Since the last time they had seen had other lucky had lost about 20 pounds. She was looking quite awful. Lucky was sitting on her laptop at the coffee shop when Cassie sat down next to her.

It had been ages since Cass had seen Lucky. In that time, she had been suspended from TNA with Jeff because of their "Little Issue" and she looked terrible. She had even resorted to seeing a doctor about getting help psychologically. Cass sat opposite Lucky, sunglasses pressed up onto her pale skin.

"Cass? Oh my god, is that you?" she asked

"About 50%....I know I look terrible don't rub it in...." Cass took off her sunglasses "You ain't looking that good yourself missy!"

"Trust me it looks much worse underneath the make-up. Cuts, bruises, I'm a mess. Not eating, not sleeping. What happened?" Lucky asked

"You need to watch the news....me and Jeff got suspended from TNA....you can probably guess why but what happened to you? Cuts, bruises? Was it Wade?" Cass didn't like to jump to conclusion but she was still a little on edge.

"No, Wade and I have been done for like a month maybe more, our divorce was finalized." She said, "I don't really want to talk about it, though."

"God I really need to watch the news....how you coping? Better than me and Jeff. I've booked to see a doctor but he's not doing anything, he thinks he can do it all by himself."

"I'm not coping that well, Wade won't even let me see the kids because he thinks I'm too busy being 'sleazy' to even take care of them. I refuse to see a doctor as well, even though I'm positive that a few of my ribs are cracked."

"That's terrible....my kids are with my dad....he doesn't trust me or Jeff at the moment....I'm such a bad person."

"I'm sure you can't be any worse than me...but if I could just have my kids for a day, Heath would stop-" she stopped before the whole thing could slip out, even though it was a bit obvious as to what was happening.

"So it's Heath! That little -" Cass stopped herself before she said something she'd regret "Talk....talk to me about it."

"He found out where I live and he comes around every couple of days just to beat the shit out of me."

"I would ask you to come and stay with us....but I'm gonna be out most of the time now....have you spoken to the police?"

"It's alright. I'm staying with Phil for the time being. He's keeping an eye on me for right now. And no, I haven't, it's not even worth it."

"It is worth it! It's very worth it!" Cass got a little out of control "Sorry...still stuff in my system....you mentioned Phil? How is he?"

"He's good. He shouldn't care so much about a person like me though." she said

"Yes he should! Why shouldn't he? You're amazing!! AMAZING!" Cass finished and dropped her head to the table. "There is so much shit in my system it is unbelievable." Cass said barely above a whisper.

"Babe, I know first hand how hard it is dealing with addiction. It's super hard, and I know how you're feeling."

"I just wanna get better....I wanna see my kids I wanna wrestle again I just wanna be me again." Cass sobbed.

"Oh sweetie." Lucky hugged her in an attempt to comfort her

"I don't blame Jeff....it's equally my fault...."

"I never said you blamed him."

"Just in case...so do you wanna hear about my first session?"

"Of course, love."
