Mixed Emotions (John/Elle)

Elle looks around the baggage claim area. She was back in St.Louis to go the funeral of her mother's who had suddenly passed away a few days ago.

She had told John the news over the phone and since he was on the road, he told her he would meet her at the airport after his last show so that he can be with her while this was going on.

Looking around a bit more, she spots John and walks over to him.

John walks off the stairs when he sees Elle coming towards him. He gets to her and pulls into a hug

"You okay?"

Elle shrugs her shoulders, just standing there as he hugs her.

"To be completely honest with you, I have no idea." She replies.

"That is understandable." John says knowing about her past

Elle nods her head, putting come of her hair behind her hair.

"Do you have your stuff or do we still need to wait?" She asks.

"Ummm...I have a bag, but I sent the others bags back to the house."

"If you want, I can drop you off at the hotel. I was going to head over to my omom's place." She says.

"No. I can go with you just to be your rock." John says

"Are you sure?" Elle asks.

"Yes I'm sure. Plus I'm thinking about the twins too."

"What about them?" She asks.

"I just worried that something might happen if I'm not with you."

"Nothing is going to happen to the babies or me." Elle says.

"I'm coming with you."

Elle sighs.

"Fine...but don't say I didn't warn you, you're in for a lot." She says, starting to walk out of the airport.

John nodded following her out

Elle gets outside and walks to the parking lot.

John continues to follow her

Elle gets to her car and unlocks it.

"Do you want to drive or me?"

"I can drive." Elle says, getting into the drivers side.

John nodded getting into the passenger side

Elle starts the car and begins to drive.

John leans back in his seat looking out the window

Elle continues to drive.
