Handling It (Anyone)

Jeff’s legal separation paper arrived for signing that day. Though it was not exactly a divorce yet, it was still hard for him to sign the dotted line. But, he knew he had to eventually. He didn’t think he would be able to forgive Skyla for her infidelity. Jeff had to think, he had kids to take into consideration but he also had his self to think about for once. Jeff needed to relax and what better way to do that then with a drink. He arrived and sat up at the bar ordering a jack on the rocks. As he ran his fingers through his hair he felt someone take the seat next to him, before looking up at them …

Ashlyn was out partying with Juliet after a night of training. As soon as they ran out of drinks, Ashyln went to the bar to get more. She looked over at Jeff.

"Hey. Jeff isn't it?" she asked.

Jeff nodded

"We know each other?"

"Work." Ashlyn smiled. Ashlyn had been friends with Skyla for a long time but had never really spoken to Jeff.
"Your Skye's husband."

"Uh... only by law"

"Huh? You two fallen out or something? Would probably explain why I haven't seen Skye for ages. Last time I saw her was when she was in hospital after that creep beat her up, don't remember his name but Skye actually hates him." Ashlyn said downing a shot.

"She had an affair, so we're separated" he nodded

"Skye? No way! She's head over heels about you, like a love struck teen...seperation huh? Not fully fledged divorce yet?"

"Yeah, it wasn't me she was crazy about." he replied "and Not yet, but no doubt in my mind that it'll get there"

"Want my opinion? Don't rush into anything you might regret."

"And this is your advice to me? Where were you with those words who knows however long ago when Skyla had her affair"

"Probably a club....or prison. Most likely the second one."

"Well, I appreciate it but that advice came a little too late"

"Hey if anyone knows about break ups it's me. Me and my boyfriend we break up all the time, usually my fault, but we always get through it."

"Well I'm not interested in having a relationship like that. I have kids to worry about and when she cheated she wasn't thinking about me or them so I'm not interested in being with anyone that selfish"

"Isn't what's happening now important? I thought u were all about living in the moment...so stop living in the past."

"And at this moment words can not describe how much I despise her. Thanks you just made what I have to do a whole lot easier "

"Whoa! Not what I was trying to do!"
