"John I'm going to get hurt either way."

John sighed.

"You know its true. I'm so happy that your my big brother and that you want to protect me from everything. But I have to do things by myself, but I promise you that if he hurts me you can do whatever you want to him."

"Okay." John said.

Riley smiled as she hugged him "Thank you big brother."

"You're welcome." John said with a smile.

"I love you John and believe me no one is going to replace you."

"I love you too." John said as he hugged Rie.

Rie hugged her brother tightly. This is something they used to do all the time when their parents fought.

"You okay?" John asked.

"I wish dad would have treated mom better."

"He would always scare me to death. He would never go for you boys. When he was mad he would always go for me."
