Friends Again? (Adam/Skyla/Jeff?)

It was raining. Adam had had an argument with Cheyanne and had nowhere else to go. Adam stopped the car outside a large house. He walked up the drive and knocked on the door.

Skyla opened the door. She looked in shock at Adam standing in the doorway.
"Adam? Wh-what do you want? Come in it's freezing." Skyla let Adam through the door.

Adam walked through the door. His hair was dripping wet. He looked at Skyla, her eyes couldn't believe the sight of the man in front of her. Adam, Jeff and Skyla were best friends...but a few years back, Adam thought his relationship with Skyla meant more than it actually did and he tried to kiss her.

"Adam...I-I don't understand, what are you doing here?" Adam went to give a reply but Skyla stopped him "I don't know how long Jeff'll be out, he'll kill you!"

"I-I'm sorry Skye I just-I've had an argument with Chey, I left the house and I had nowhere to go." Adam pleaded. Skyla heard footsteps upstairs.

Skyla and Adam looked at the top of the stairs and saw Skyla and Jeff's oldest child, Nero, watching them. "Uncle Adam!" Nero yelled running down to him. Nero hugged Adam. Skyla looked at her son then at Adam.

"Hey Nero" Adam said hugging him. "Mummy can Uncle Adam stay?"

Skyla looked at the way Nero was holding Adam. She reluctantly nodded.
"Hey Nero, sweetie, I bet you wanna show uncle Adam your Xbox?" Nero nodded "Go and set it up then, but don't wake Tristan or Nicole up. I'll send him up in a minute."

Nero ran eagerly upstairs leaving Adam and Skyla. "Skye can we just talk?" Adam said following her into the kitchen.

"No Adam we cannot just talk! We talked years ago and it didn't work, you just ended up in hospital" Skyla paused and sat on the counter top "You can't just undo the past."

"I know I can't erase the past Skye! I'm not trying to! I'm trying to make up for what happened! I thought it was love between us!" Adam yelled staying a safe distance away from her.

"It was friendship Adam! We were only close because of your friendship with Jeff! Do you know how hurt he was when he saw you kissing me? Do you know how long it took for him to fully trust me after that?" Skyla asked dangerously as she shuffled off the countertop and paced over to Adam.

"I can't begin to imagine how that must've felt Skye! Trying to get Jeff to trust you again! I came here because I thought I could make up!" Adam walked closer to Skyla "I loved you Skyla...but now I know you didn't love me!"

"No Adam! I didn't!" Skyla yelled.

Adam and Skyla were now face to face...too close...

Skyla looked into Adam's eyes. Fury was filling her eyes...and yet somehow...lust filled them aswell. Skyla kissed Adam.

(WOW Leah! Sneaky move ) Adam kissed Skyla back. Confussion filled his mind.

"Welcome babe ) Skyla pulled off Adam's lips "I can't do this! What am I doing I'm married!" she cried walking into the lounge.

Adam followed her. He grabbed her shoulder. "Skye, I'm sorry it was my fault." Adam yelled.

Skyla shook her head "No, no it was me..." she sat down. "I'm REALLY sorry."

"No, it was me..." Adam paused "I'm gonna see if Nero's ready."

Skyla nodded.

Adam walked upstairs and knocked on Nero's door.

"Uncle Adam! Come quick!" Nero yelled.

Adam walked inside.
