Birthday Trip (John/Elle)

"It doesn't matter." Elle said.

"What can I do to make it up to you?" John asked.

"I don't know." Elle replied with a shrug.

John sighed in defeat then sat down on the bed.

Elle set the glass down on the nightstand and went underneath the covers.

John took a sip of his beer as he leaned against his pillow.

Elle turned onto her side and attempted to go to sleep.

John took another sip of his beer then set it on the bedside table before he lied down.

Elle let out a frustrated sigh. "I can't sleep."

"Me neither." John said as he looked over at Elle.

"Sorry for yelling at you." Elle said, looking over her shoulder at John.

"It's fine, I deserved it." John said.

"No, you didn't." Elle said.

"Yeah I did, the whole sex video on youtube was my fault, I should have been more careful." John said.

"I was the one distracting you." Elle said.

"But I should have known better to turn off the camera regardless." John said.

"Babe, if I wasn't a distraction, you probably would have." Elle said.

"This is me we're talking about you know." John said.

"Exactly, which is why I should've backed off until you were done." Elle said.

"I shouldn't have turned it on in the first place and you were a little drunk so you couldn't control yourself." John said.

"It doesn't matter whose to blame, we're both at fall and it's out there now." Elle said.

John nodded.

"I can't wait to go into work next week." John muttered sarcastically.

"Vince is going to be pissed, huh?" Elle asked.

"I'd be surprised if he wasn't." John said.

"What do you think he'll do?" Elle asked.
