John smiled.

"Oh okay, I'm glad I didn't do anything wrong. And you deserve to be treated as well as I've been treating you. Frankly in my opinion you should have been treated this way a long time ago. You deserve nothing but the best." John said.

"You want some?" Courtney asked as she held the spoon out to Randy.

"Yeah...you are so perfect. I should've been with you a long time ago." Elle said.

"Sure." Randy said, taking the spoon from Courtney. He moved over to her and took a scoop, eating it. "Okay, this is really, really good."

"Well things work out the way they do for a reason, I guess you were supposed to be exposed to what Randy was doing before you could really move on from him." John said.

Courtney giggled before she took the spoon back and ate another scoop of ice cream.

"I told you." Courtney said.

"You're right. Despite how much of a pain it was these last few years, you were totally worth it all." Elle said.

Courtney chuckled.

"You want to go watch tv and continue eating this?" Courtney asked as she ate a scoop of ice cream.

"Well, I'm really glad you and waited, and that I didn't lose my chance with you." She said.

"Sure." Randy said, walking to the living room. He took a seat on the couch and turned on the t.v. before handing Courtney the remote.

"Thank god everything fell into place when it did because my mom was bugging me about not having a girlfriend." John said.

Courtney sat down on the couch and took the remote before she switched it to Friends. She smiled then continued to eat ice cream.

Randy set his feet on the coffee table in front of him and looked at the t.v.

"Yep I do but be prepared, the second I tell her she's going to want to meet and approve you." John said.

Courtney chuckled at the show then took a scoop of ice cream and looked over at Randy.

"You want anymore?" Courtney asked.

Randy took one more scoop and ate it. "You can finish it off...if you can."

"No, my mom is nice. A little tough when it comes to girls my brothers and I bring home but she'll love you. Just be yourself." John said.

"Okay." Courtney said as she leaned back against the couch and continuing eating ice cream.

Ten minutes later Courtney set the empty tub on the coffee table.

"It's still nerve wracking. I am divorced and have been dating you while I was going through while I'm divorcing my ex." Elle said.

Courtney nodded as she sunk into the couch and rested her hands on her stomach.

"Yep, I'm so full now though." Courtney said.

John sighed and nodded.

"I guess you're right, it would be wrong not to tell her. She's probably find out somehow anyway and then be pissed that we didn't say anything." John said.

"Yeah, I'm getting tired." Courtney said before she stood up.

Courtney smiled back then walked over to the stairs and headed up to her room.

Courtney lied down on her bed then closed her eyes and fell asleep.
