The Beginning Of Trouble

"Whatever, Court." Randy said.

"It's not like we did anything so I don't know why you're so mad." Courtney said.

She mentally smacked herself a minute later when she realized what she said.

Randy rolled his eyes, getting up and walking out of the living room.

Courtney sighed.

"Randy...I'm sorry okay? I don't know what else to say." Courtney said.

"Nothing to say." Randy said, going upstairs.

"Randy you're always saying how I should trust you, why won't you trust me?" Courtney asked as she followed him.

"Because you've given more than enough reasons for me not to when I haven't given you any reason to." Randy said.

"Randy the media twisted that whole thing around. We first saw each other at the award show because I was seated next to him. It wasn't like I could have gotten up and moved. Yes maybe going to the hotel was stupid but I didn't do anything but discuss plans about doing a song together." Courtney said.

"And you had to go to his hotel room? You couldn't go get a cup of coffee or something?" He asked.

"I didn't want anyone to see me with him." Courtney said.

"And look where that got you, everyone ended up seeing you with him anyways." He said.

Courtney sighed.

"It was stupid. If I could go back now I wouldn't have done it." Courtney said.

"Too late, what's done is done." He said.

"Guess I should get on the phone with my manager then and fix all of this." Courtney said as she grabbed her phone and walked into the bedroom.

"Guess so." Randy shrugged.

After an hour of listening to her manager yell at her Courtney sighed then put down her phone before she lied down on the bed. She rubbed her temples with her fingers as she closed her eyes.

Randy stayed downstairs and was watching a movie while Courtney was in the bedroom. He was still a bit irritated and didn't have much to say to her.

Courtney got up off the bed then went downstairs. She walked into the kitchen then grabbed an asprin for her headache and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. After swallowing the pill Courtney looked around the kitchen before she suddenly kicked the bottom cabinet of the counter in frusteration. She ran her fingers through her hair as she felt tears start to form in her eyes, she didn't know how she could get herself out of this one.

Randy didn't really process the kick of the cabinet or Courtney being in the kitchen. He was attempting to pay attention to the movie, but his mind continued to wander.

Courtney wiped her eyes then let out a deep breath before she walked out into the living room. She sat down on the other side of the couch, knowing Randy most likely didn't want to talk to her or be next her at the moment.

Randy didn't even glance at her, just tried to keep his eyes focused on the t.v.

Courtney swallowed hard as she looked down at her hands and started playing with them.

"Do you want something?" Randy asked, not even looking at Courtney.

Courtney looked up at Randy.

"I just don't want you mad at me. I don't know what to do to make you forgive me. I get it, it was a stupid mistake but you can't tell me you've never done anything stupid in our relationship that I haven't forgiven you for." Courtney said.

"Court, you can't compare the shit I've done to what you did and you know that." Randy said.
