Loneliness (Allie)

Jason took a deep breath of the outdoor air as he walked through the park, he wasn't being himself. Allie was truly his first love and he hated how monstrous he had acted towards her and her mother. He had screwed up so badly that his relationship with Allie was at the point of no return. That wasn't him. That wasn't Jason Ferguson. He didn't know who he was anymore but he was just flat out disgusted. Jason sat under a weeping willow tree, it's vine like leaves shrivling as the winter months slowly came about. Jason sighed again to himself, closed his eyes, and leaned against the trunk of the half-barren tree.

Allie walked through the park after school to think. Finals were coming up, her mother was coming home, her career choice for after she leaves high school, and most importantly Jason. Allie couldn't believe how much she cried over one guy, he hurt her. Others may think it was pathetic, but Allie was a very sensitive girl and people didn't understand.

Allie walked around the park until she seen...him. Yes 'him' leaning against a tree. Her heart now controlling her body, Allie made her way over to him.

"Um...are you okay?" Allie asked softly, looking up at him.

"Uh...what?" His heart stopped for a moment when he heard Allie's voice, "Yeah." he shook it off, "I'm fine." All lies.

Allie looked up at him, "Are you sure?"

Jason sighed, "..no."

Allie frowned, "Why?"

"A lot has been going on lately."

"Like...dinner?"

Jason nodded

Allie nodded, tears welling in her eyes at the memories.

"What happened that night Jason?" Allie asked.

"A lot. I totaled my car while I was driving away. My dad beat the shit out of me."

"Oh no..." Allie said softly, loosing all anger and replacing it with concern. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, just a few scratches.." His voice got caught in his throat.

A tear finally fell from Allie's eye after hearing his voice. "Scratches....or scars?"

Jason rubbed his eyes and made it look like they were just itchy, he refused to let tears be visible even if it was obvious that he was going to cry, he refused to spill his own tears out in front of Allie.

"Both."

Allie couldn't help but feel bad for Jason, she's definitely been there before with her own mother. Allie noticed that he was trying not to cry. Allie walked up to Jason, wrapping her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly.

"W-what are you doing?" He asked, surprised by the hug.

"Comforting you." Allie said.

"I'm an asshole, I don't deserve comfort."

"Everyone deserves comfort."

"I don't feel like I deserve it." He sighed

"You do." Allie said.

"..Thanks.."

Allie smiled sadly, "You're welcome."

"You don't have to do this, you know?"
