Trying To Hang On (Anyone)

Courtney lied on the hospital bed unconscious with a large bandage across her forehead, a tube down her throat to keep her breathing, and her left knee bandaged and propped up on a pillow. She got in a horrible car accident on her way to an arena to do a concert. her best friend Elle was on the bus and her bus driver lost control on an icy road and ended up driving down a hill and into a ditch, the bus flipped upside down. Courtney was in critical condition but Elle and the bus driver only had minor cuts.

Elle sits next to Courtney's bed, not taking her eyes off of her. She doesn't even look up when Randy walks into the room.

Randy walks over to the bed, cringing a bit when he sees Courtney he grabs her hand as he sits on the edge of the bed.

"How long has she been like this?" He asks.

"A couple hours." Elle lowly replies.

"Come on Court, you can get out of this." He says.

Courtney continued lying there not making any movements.

Maryse walked in slowly then looked at Courtney.

"Oh my god...how did this happen?" Maryse asked.

"On our way to a show the bus skidded on an icy road and lost control falling down a hill." Elle replies.

Maryse felt tears in her eyes as she sat down on a seat.

"Where's Kayla?" Maryse asked.

"Parents have her." Randy replies.

"Poor little girl. I hope they don't turn on the tv they're reporting it all over the news. The second I heard Courtney Benson I raced down here." Maryse said.

"I warned my parents ahead of time." Randys says. "Thanks for being here."

"You're welcome, I called Evan to let him know." Maryse said.

She looked at Courtney.

"I hope she pulls through this. I can't believe this happened to her." Maryse said.

She looked at Elle.

"Are you okay? You said you were on the bus." Maryse said.

"Evan's on his way now, he texted me." Randy says.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a few cuts." Elle replies.

Maryse nodded then looked at Courtney.

"She's strong she'll be able to get through this." Maryse said.

Elle nods her head.

"Come on Court." Elle says.

Randy kisses her hand.

Maryse sighed as she stared at Courtney not moving.

"Come on Courtney please wake up." Maryse said.

Ted walked threw her room door.

Maryse looked at the door and saw Ted.

"Hey." Maryse said.

"Hey." Randy and Elle say.

"Please Court. Kayla and I need you." Randy says.

"Good lord." Was all Ted could say

"On the way to a show her bus skidded on an icy road and lost control falling down a hill." Maryse said as she looked at Courtney lying motionless on the bed.

Randy nods his head, not taking his eyes off of her.

Ted shakes his head not knowing what to say

"Come on Courtney please. All of us need you, please wake up." Maryse said.

"Yeah please Court. Your my best friend." Ted says

"Please Court." Elle says.

"Courtney please, Randy's going to drive everyone insane without you here." Maryse said.

"Yes and I don't want to have to hurt your boyfriend." Elle says.
