Maria sighed softly, wiping a tear from her eyes. She'd found a letter from her ex-boyfriend on her doorstep and now she was afraid he was coming after her again.

Rai exited her friend's place and spotted Maria. "Hey Maria what's wrong?"

"Nothing," Maria lied.

"I know you better than that." Rai said as she sat next to her.

"Seth sent me a letter," Maria said.

Rai wrapped an arm around her. "He will not get to you. I'll kill him if he even tries."

"I just, I'm happy again, I've got Derek in my life now," Maria started to cry again.

Rai pulled her close. "Like I said he will not come near you. Dry the tears chica."

"Gah I REALLY don't need this right now," Maria said.

Rai looked at her. "Think positive."

"I mean I've got my designs, I've got Derek, music, I've got so much stuff to do," Maria said.

"You will do them and Seth will not be coming near you."

Maria smiled a little. "Can I ask you something?" Maria asked.

"Absolutely."

"I've got some studio time coming up and I was wondering if you'd like to come do some recording with me?" Maria said.

"Sure as long as you promise to stop crying and give me my favorite smile."

Maria smiled.

"There it is." Rai said with her famous 'bright eye' smile.

Maria laughed a little.

"What did I do now?"

"You made me happy again," Maria said.

"Good I did my job. Did you hear the news?"

"About what?" Maria asked.
