The Breaking Point (Randy/Courtney/Elle)

Randy sighed.

John sighed then leaned against a wall.

The doctor walked out of the room a few minutes later.

"You're here for Elle?" He asked.

Randy nodded.

"It's mostly bruising, she does have a dislocated shoulder but she should be okay in a few weeks. the bruises will of course heal naturally, how long...it depends since they're so many. Another doctor is going to come in to do a rape kit as evidence in case charges need are going to be pressed." He said.

John nodded.

"Thanks for letting us know." Courtney said.

"I can't believe I let her come here alone. I should have came to St. Louis with her." John said.

The doctor nodded and walked away.

"Don't beat yourself up about it." Randy said.

"It's my fault that this happened. Why shouldn't I beat myself up?" John asked.

"John, this isn't your fault." Randy said.

John sighed.

"Fine." John said.

"Elle won't blame you for this." Randy said.

"You don't know that." John said.

"She won't, she knows you had no control over this." Randy said.

John nodded.

"Okay." John said.

Randy nodded.

"When can we see her?" John asked.

"Let's go see if she's ready now." Randy said.

John nodded as he opened the door and Courtney walked in first.

Elle looked up at them and laid her head down on her knees.

"Elle it's okay, we're here for you. No need to be ashamed." John said.

Elle looked at John blankly, not saying anything.

"Listen to him Elle, he's right." Courtney said.

"He's not right..." Elle said softly.

"Yes he is." Courtney said.

"It doesn't matter..." Elle said.

"Can we get you anything?" Courtney asked.

Elle shook her head.
