Helping Out A Friend

It was late at night and usually John didn't invite people over when it was three in the morning but after the fight Macy got into with Mike on OSW Connected he thought getting away from Mike would be best for Macy. Elle was out of town until tomorrow but he didn't think she would mind, Macy and him were just friends and plus he was looking at a picture of Elle most of the night. If anything he was thinking about Elle half of the time. The kids were asleep though so he had to be aware of when her car pulled up to the driveway so she couldn't ring the doorbell and wake them up.

Macy packed up a duffel bag with a few of her things and her twin's things. Macy ignored all of Mike's pleas and apologies as she walked out of the door with her kids. She felt horrible about going over to John's house as late as it was, but she needed to get out of his house. Macy couldn't look at Mike after what he said. Macy sighed as she pulled up to the Cena household. She gathered London and Luna from the backseat of the car and grabbed her bag before walking up to the front door.

John heard the car doors and looked out the window to see Macy as well as her two kids walk up to the door. He stood up from the couch before he walked to the door and opened it up.

"Hey, do I even have to ask how you are?" John asked as he took her bag from her then moved to the side so she could walk in.

"Thank you." She said.

"No you don't...I feel like shit." Macy said with a frown as she set her kids' carriers down.

"Sorry about that, Mike's an asshole for saying that crap about you." John said.

Macy shook her head.

"No need to be sorry, like you said, he's a jackass."

"I don't mean to pry into your business but why the hell are you even with him?" John asked.

Macy sighed.

"I love him...we've been together for years. Sure he can upset me and then push me away, but then he does something else and pulls me back. It's so complicated..." She said.

John nodded, he could relate. His and Elle's relationship was complicated but they worked through it because they loved each other.

"He shouldn't treat you like crap though and lash out on you because you decide not to defend him in a fight he started." John said.

"Well he could have been a man and sucked it up or let it go, but he always has to try and be the winner. I could have stuck up for him but I decided to make himself look like an ass. I'm used to it John, don't worry." Macy said.

"He's not helping himself backstage, a good chunk of people don't like him. He's got a lot of growing up to do still and it's shame having kids didn't make him grow up." John said.

"I swore he did grow up for a moment until tonight." Macy said.

"Guess maturity for him lasts only for a short time." John said.

Macy sighed. "I guess so..."

"Can I get you anything? Something to drink? Eat?" John asked.

"Oh no I'm fine, I just need to sleep." Macy said, "Thank you for asking though."

John nodded.

"Alright, I'll show you the guest room." John said as he started walking upstairs.

Macy nodded as she picked up the twins' carriers.

"Thank you again for everything John." Macy said as she followed him upstairs.

"You're welcome, it's not a problem. I have my twins' old cribs in the attic, you want me to get them for your babies?" John asked.

"Could you please? I couldn't pack their bassinets. I'll even help you." Macy said as she placed the twins' down when she walked into the guest room.

"It's okay, just get yourself settled and I'll go get them." John said, putting Macy's bags down before he went to get the cribs.

Macy sighed as she unbuckled Luna and London out of their carriers and placed them on the bed. She watched the two sleep as she ran her fingers through her hair. She stared ahead as she thought of what happened that night. She didn't understand how Mike could be such a stupid bastard and say those things. She was grateful to have John in the same city, otherwise she had to go to a hotel and she didn't lnow anything about LA. She knew she had to repay John for sticking up for her...she just didn't know how.

John pulled the latch on the pull down attic before he climbed up the ladder. He grabbed one of the cribs and brought it down before placing it in the guest room. After getting the second one in there as well he closed the attic and went back into the guest room.

Macy smiled softly as John walked back into the room with the second crib.

"I seriously cannot thank you enough John." Macy said.

"You don't have to, once was enough. I'm just happy I could help you out." John said with a smile.
