Enough is Enough

Randy grabbed the ball and handed it to Max. He bent down and picked him up, bringing him over to the basket. "There you go, think you can do it now."

Max smiled widely then slammed the ball into the basket.

"Yes! I did it dad!" Max exclaimed.

A car then pulled up and parked at the end of the driveway. Alexa chuckled as she watched Randy play basketball with his boys then out of the car.

"Nice slam dunk Max." Alexa said as she opened the back door so Sarah could get out as well.

"You got your first fan it seems." Randy said, setting down Max before walking over to Alexa. "Hey." He smiled, pulling her into a hug.

"Yay!" Max yelled before he went over to Alexa.

"Hi." Max said as he waved his hand

Alexa hugged Randy back and said hi to him before bending down to Max's level.

"Hi little guy." Alexa said with a smile.

"I can do a better slam dunk than him!" Jake said as he frowned and crossed his arms.

Alexa chuckled as she looked over at Jake.

"Alright, show me your best slam dunk." Alexa said.

Randy looked over at Sarah and gave her a small wave.

"You need my help or can you do it yourself?" Randy asked, it was a kid's level basketball hoop and Jake wasn't as small as Max.

"Hi Mr. Orton. Where's Kayla?" Sarah asked with a smile.

"I can do it." Jake said, grabbing the ball then started dribbling it to the hoop.

He then did a slam dunk and smirked proudly.

"See." Jake said.

"That was pretty good, nice job Jake. I could so do a better slam dunk than both of you though" Alexa said jokingly but acted serious.

Jake eyed Alexa as she challenged him.

"No you can't, you're a girl." Jake said.

"Call me Randy, Sarah. And Kayla's in the house, you can go on inside to see her." Randy said.

"Nice job, Jake. But don't be rude to our guest. I'm sure Alexa would be able to do one." he added.

"Okay Randy, thank you." Sarah said before she went to the house and walked in.

Courtney's head perked up when she heard the door open and went to see who it was. When she saw Sarah she reconized her to be Alexa's daughter.

"Hey, welcome Sarah. Kayla's upstairs in her room." Courtney said with a smile.

"Thanks." Sarah said, smiling again before she went upstairs.

Courtney then went outside to greet Alexa.

"It's okay Randy, Jake will just have to watch and see." Alexa said with a good natured grin before she took the ball.

She dribbled it up to the basketball hoop that was taller, meant for the adults, then did a slam dunk.

"Wow..." Jake muttered in awe.

Randy chuckled lowly, folding his arms over his broad chest. He'd sit back and let Alexa's game do the talking. She had always been athletic, so he knew she was able to do it. "She's pretty amazing, I know. Should've saw her when we were younger. She was a pretty big jock at our school."

"Alexa will you marry me?" Jake asked.

Alexa laughed then shook her head and walked over to Jake, ruffling his hair a bit.

"Sorry buddy, I'm already taken." Alexa said.

Courtney stood there for a minute to watch, waiting for the right moment to speak so she wouldn't feel like she was intruding.

"Hey Alexa, I'm glad you decided to come." Courtney said, giving her a friendly smile.

Alexa looked up when Courtney spoke and returned the smile.

"Yeah...thanks for allowing me to come over. I'm having fun already." Alexa said.

"Alexa, that is rude, turning down a kid like that." Randy teased, fighting back some laughter. His head turned when he saw Courtney and he smiled at how she welcomed Alexa.

"I'm sorry but my husband wouldn't have been too happy if I agreed. Plus I don't need to be related to you Randy, that would be miserable." Alexa joked.

"I'm glad you're having fun, dinner should be ready soon." Courtney said.

"Thank you and great, I'm getting hungry." Alexa said with a chuckle.

"Let's play more basketball, this time with teams. I want Alexa on mine." Jake said.

"Oh please, you'd love to be related to me." Randy chuckled lowly. He nodded at what Courtney said, figuring they'd have a bit of time to play around a bit more. "That's fine with me, Max you're with me."

"Nope, would not." Alexa said as she grabbed the basketball.

Courtney walked back into the house so they could finish their game and she could go back to cooking.

"Aw man, I want Alexa." Max said with a pout.

"Ahaha Randy, they think I'm better than you." Alexa said, smirking widely.

"You turned my kids against me. I think you need to leave." He joked.

"Make me loser." Alexa said with a grin before she passed the ball to Randy.

"Do you really want me to pick you up and put you back into your car?" Randy asked.

"You wouldn't touch me." Alexa said.

"I won't let you dad." Jake said as he stood in front of Alexa and crossed his arms over his chest which caused Max to copy what him.

Randy looked down at Max and then Alexa. "You're lucky my kid is there. You know I would."

"Uh huh, suuure Randal Keith." Alexa said with a smirk.

"Whatever you want to believe Alexa Klayton." Randy said.

"Alright...how about this. You, me one on one. First one to get ten points wins and if you can beat me you get to put me in my car. If I win...hm...I get to push you in your pool." Alexa said.

"I feel like this is an unbalanced reward for a win." Randy said.

"Alright, what do you want the awards to be?" Alexa asked.

"I'll think about it once I win." Randy said.
