Enough is Enough

Justin walked up to the front door of Courtney's house after parking his car. He wanted to speak with her. The last they talked, she pretty much told him they couldn't speak anymore and it wasn't a good idea for them to work with one another. Justin didn't take too kindly to Courtney's answer and her now avoiding him.

Yes, he still had feelings for her. But most importantly, he didn't like how her husband seemed to be controlling her. It was her career and he thought it would be a damn good opportunity for them to reconnect and collaborate on a song.

He felt like they needed to talk, which was why he was here. He knocked on the door and waited for a response.

Courtney was relaxing on the couch as she watched tv. She had a couple days off before her next concert so she wanted to not worry about being stressed out over anything. Of course though it didn't seem to stay that way for long. Randy and her were still awkward around each other and that killed her, she really wanted to have things go back to normal. She missed when Randy and her were really happy and loving towards each other instead of putting on a show for the kids so they wouldn't get caught in the mess. When Courtney heard the doorbell she stood up then walked to the door and opened it, her eyes widening once she saw it was Justin.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Courtney asked in a whisper, knowing Randy was home.

"I want to talk to you." Justin said, sticking his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

"You know my number, call or text me. You can't be showing up at my and my husband's house uninvited like this." Courtney said, looking behind her to make sure Randy wasn't coming.

"Plus I made it loud and clear we couldn't be around each other anymore, so there's nothing really to talk about."

"If I would've called or texted, you wouldn't have responded. And yeah, we do need to talk, so that's why I am here." He said.

"Justin, my husband is home right now. This isn't a good time and frankly no time ever will be so why don't you just leave me alone?" Courtney asked.

"Just give me like ten minutes, that's all." Justin said.

Courtney sighed, Justin wasn't making this easy. She didn't want to do yet another sneaky thing around Randy but knew Justin wasn't going to leave until they talked. Courtney walked out of the house then closed the front door.

"You have five minutes." Courtney said.

"I really think you need to reconsider working with me again. No funny business, but this could be great for the both of us. I don't want you to lose a great opportunity, you know it would be great." Justin said.

"I already explained to you that after what happened between us my husband doesn't feel comfortable with us around each other. As his wife I need to respect that and I need to stay away from you." Courtney said.

"And what about what he does? Sure he hangs around works with women. It's not cool that you get limited cause he's being paranoid. All it is work." Justin said.

"Here's the difference Justin...I cheated on him, he's never cheated on me and he never will. He has every right to be paranoid and I'd rather not keep him paranoid. He doesn't deserve that when he's been such an amazing husband and father to my children." Courtney said.

"It was one kiss, you didn't cheat on me. You were drunk and it meant absolutely nothing." Justin said.

"It doesn't matter how many they were or if I was drunk, I still kissed you when I am a married woman. I shouldn't be around you and the fact that you're trying to force me to be around you is disgusting. You don't respect my marriage at all do you?" Courtney asked.

"It was a mistake and if he still holds that against you, it doesn't make any sense. I respect your marriage but as a person in your work as well, I know when to separate personal and business, he needs to learn that." Justin said.

"You need to learn when someone says no they mean no. You can't make me do anything with you and I wish you would stop trying." Courtney said, turning around to open the door so she could go back inside.

"But you know you want to do this. You were game for the idea when it was first brought up." Justin said.

Randy went downstairs he raised an eyebrow hearing something outside and turned around, heading for the door.

"That was before I fucked up and did something to hurt my marriage. And you know what's funny? You want to try to claim my husband is some controlling monster when you're the one trying to control me into doing a freaking song with you when I already told you several times that I didn't want to." Courtney said.

"How is it controlling when you were all okay with the idea? I'm just trying to help you out." Justin said.

Randy came up behind Courtney and folded his arms. "What's he doing here?"

Courtney opened her mouth to respond when she heard Randy's voice behind her. She sighed then looked back at Randy.

"He's trying to convince me to do a song with him and I'm trying to get him to leave me alone." Courtney said.

"I think you need to go." Randy said.

"I will, when I'm done talking to her. Don't think this is any of your concern." Justin said.

"If she wants you to go and leave her alone, go. Get off my property." Randy said.

"Justin please just go." Courtney said.

"Yeah, just go." Randy said.

"Courtney, just please tell me you'll think about it." Justin said.

"Nothing to think about." Randy said.

Courtney shook her head.

"I don't understand why you must make this harder than it should be. Why can't you accept the answer I gave you and leave me alone?" Courtney asked.

Justin rolled his eyes. "Cause I don't get what the issue is."

"You don't need to get it. You have a answer." Randy said, getting more irritated the longer Justin pushed it.
