Vanishing (Jeff/Cassandra)

Cassandra hadn't been home for a few nights now and she imagined Jeff would be worried. She had requested to leave the hospital for a few nights to be with him and reluctantly Jonathan had accepted. Cassandra drove onto the drive and got out the car. She was welcomed by Jeff, who had mixed expressions on his face.

Jeff sat on the couch. Worry, anger, sadness, and many more emotions written across his face. Cass disappeared, he couldn't find her and now..he was pissed. He looked at the door and seen Cass walk in.

"Hey." Jeff said eerily quiet.

"Hey....you're abnormally quiet...any reason why?" Cass asked as she shut the door behind her. She could sense this wasn't gonna end well.

Jeff looked up at her. "Where have you been?"

"Is that really important?" Cass asked seriously not wanting to say.

Jeff nodded, "Yes it is."

"I was out at a hospital getting help because I actually want to get better." Cass said trying not to sound like a total bitch.
"No if you'll excuse me I'm extremely tired and I'm going to bed." Cass said as she headed for the stairs.

Jeff's eyebrows rose before anger sparked inside of him, "Cass, get back down here!" He said angrily.

Cass turned around slowly.
"You wanna make me?" she snarled back before turning around and heading back up the stairs.

Jeff growled lightly as he glared at her. He was sick of her bullshit, he didn't want to sound demanding but he wanted an explanation. Jeff shot up from the couch and made his way to the steps. As the two made it to the top of the steps, Jeff turned her around, "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"I've been in a fucking hospital I hate those places stop yelling at me I fucking hate it!" Cass started to raise her voice as she started walking away from Jeff again. She had totally changed her mind now and wished she had stayed in the hospital....stayed with Jonathan....

"Maybe this whole situation would be DIFFERENT if you would have told me where you were! Not even one returned phone call Cass!"

"Can't have a phone on in the hospital SWEETHEART!" Cass snapped.

"You could have still asked them to contact me DARLIN'! I would have supported you! But whatever, fine!"

"Hey, I asked to come and see you and you get all accusitiony on my ass! And I said STOP YELLING!"

"No you didn't Cass, cut the bull."

"Yes I did, yes to both of them! I fucking wish I'd stayed in the hospital, wish I'd stayed with Jon-" Cass threw her hands over her mouth to stop the words coming out.

Jeff stared in shock for a moment. Jon? Who was that? "Jon? Jon who Cassandra?"

"No said to much! It's not important, no leave it!" Cass started to walk away again. God why did she have such a big mouth?!

Jeff grabbed her arm and pulled her back to him, "Jon who Cassandra?" Jeff asked quietly again.

Cass shook her head. "Give you three guesses." she replied quietly looking at the floor.

"There's no time for playing games Cass, who is he?"

Cass took a deep breathe "Jonathan Sutton...."

"And who is that?"

"Cast your mind back to high school....my ex-boyfriend...."
