Nine Months Times Three

(First Pregnancy)

You could say Courtney was excited...maybe too excited. She was twenty weeks along in her pregnancy and today she could find out the sex of her and Randy's first baby. At seven in the morning, at least three hours before her actual appointment was scheduled, Courtney woke up then looked over at Randy and smiled before she started shaking his shoulder. Should she have let him sleep? Probably but her excitement took over her ability to care that Randy didn't like being woken up that early unless he had to work.

"Randy, wake up." Courtney said as she sat up then continued shaking his shoulder.

Randy groaned and put a pillow over his head. He knew it wasn't time to get up so he wasn't even going to attempt to wake up fully. All Courtney received in response is a grunt.

Courtney continued shaking his shoulder before she glared.

"Randy wake up!" Courtney yelled, now getting irritated.

"It's early, I'm tired." Randy said.

Courtney pouted and started tearing.

"Fine, I get it. You don't care about me or the baby." Courtney said before she got up and went into the bathroom then slapped the door shut.

"Oh my goodness..." Randy said with a sigh as he threw the pillow off his face as he rose up. "Courtney, I didn't mean it like that."

"Yes you did! You don't care about me or our child at all." Courtney said.

"Court, we aren't leaving for another three hours. I just got home for the road, I'd like to sleep in. Don't know how that equates to me not caring about either one of you." He said.

Courtney thought about it for a minute before she opened the door and wiped away a tear.

"I'm sorry...I guess I just got over excited." Courtney said.

"You know I care about you and this baby..and you also know I'm not a morning person." Randy said.

"I know. I'm just a little hormonal I guess." Courtney said as she hugged Randy.

"I figured...have to get used to all of this, both of us." Randy said, hugging her back.

Courtney nodded then smiled when she felt small kicks in her stomach. She pulled away from Randy and took his hand then put it on her medium sized bump.

"Feel that?" Courtney asked.

"Yeah..." Randy said, smiling widely. "Wow..that's our baby."

"I know. I really can't believe it sometimes, it's so surreal but I'm really happy." Courtney said.

"I am too, I really am." Randy said.

"It's kind of funny having a bump though, it still feels like yesterday when I was thin and could fit into a pair of my jeans." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"You still look beautiful though." Randy said.

Courtney smiled and blushed.

"Aw, thank you." Courtney said as she pecked Randy on the lips.

(I'm going to bed, good night!)

"Welcome." Randy said, returning the kiss.

(Night.)

Courtney deepened the kiss as she wrapped her arms around Randy's neck and moved closer to him.

Randy held her close to him as he continued to kiss her

Courtney pulled away then looked at Randy with a smile.

"I can't wait to find out what we're having today." Courtney said.

"Me too, glad I could be home for it." Randy said.

"I am too but if you couldn't have been I would have waited until you could be there for an ultrasound. It wouldn't feel right to find out the sex of our baby without you." Courtney said.
