Elle shook her head. "He's not worth you going to jail over."

Randy shrugged. "It's no big deal. I can't exactly promise you anything until I...uh..figure out this marriage thing, but I will be there as much as I can for the baby."

"Okay." John said as he stroked Elle's hair.

"I better get out of here, not really the best place for a pregnant woman." Courtney said as she stood up from her stool.

Elle noddled, moving closer to John. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep soon after.

John looked down at Elle then kissed her on her head before he fell asleep.

"Okay, talk to you later." Courtney said before she walked out of the bar and went up to her room.

Two Weeks Later

Elle hadn't spoken to Randy since she found out what had happened. She'd been staying with a friend of hers to avoid the coming home and seeing Randy. She had decided she'd go by the house, thinking Randy was gone, to go get her stuff. She wasn't too sure if she wanted to, but part of her wanted to call John to be there as support since she knew that once she left the house, she'd begin the house divorce process...even though she continued to wear her ring.

Randy had gotten home from the road early, he'd invited Courtney over so that they could talk about plans for the baby. He hadn't talked to her that much as of late, but did want to get an idea of how she and the baby were doing, and seeing what he could do to help.

John sat around in his hotel staring at the phone. Since the night Elle came to his room after she found out Randy was cheating on her she had been on his mind. He was worried about her. John hadn't had contact with her the past few days because of work and wanted to now use the free time he had to make sure she was alright. When he picked up his phone he dialed her number and waited for Elle to pick up.

Courtney pulled up to Randy's house and parked in the driveway. She was dressed in jeans and a plain red shirt as she got out of her car then made her way up to the front door. After she rang the doorbell Courtney looked around and she waited.

Elle was in her car and used the speaker that connected her phone to her car to answer the call. "Hello?"

Randy got up and answered the door. "Hey Court." He said, stepping aside to let her in.

"Nice house." Courtney said with a small smile.

"Thanks." Randy said, closing and locking the door behind her. "You want anything to drink or eat?"

"I'm kind of craving ice cream." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"I..uh..don't think I have any. Fridge has been kind of empty since Elle hasn't been home." Randy said. "...sorry."
