"I'll be right back." Courtney said before she got up and walked towards the bathroom.

"...Okay." John said before taking another, longer sip of beer.

Randy nodded and watch Courtney leave the table.

"The hell, Elle? Must you jump down her throat about everything?" He asked.

"She's making you out to be some angel, like you do no wrong." Elle replied.

"She's trying, Elle. She wants to like you and you're making it really hard." Randy said.

John rubbed Elle's back, happy she was taking the high road and getting along with Courtney now. He then started eating.
