Surprise Visit (Courtney)

Randy had to pull some major strings to get the few days off that he did. It wasn't easy, but considering the current storylines that were going, luckily he was able to. He had flown out to where Courtney was at...yes, that meant of out the country, to go and see her. Even though she was home for a bit during the summer, that's when his own work schedule had picked up. So, he really just wanted the chance to spend some time alone with his wife. He had gotten to the airport and a car pulled up to the hotel he was staying out. Taking out his phone as he got to the lobby, Randy gave Courtney a call.

Courtney was lying in bed watching tv, relaxing on one of her break days. With her tour she performed one night and skipped a day or a couple days between the shows. She was thankful for days. After all the hard work she put into each concert a couple days to rest was always what she needed so she could keep going. Oh and of course a frappe from Starbucks. Courtney sipped her drink before she heard her cell phone ring. After checking the id and seeing it was Randy she smiled widely before answering it.

"Hey babe!" Courtney said, not able to hide her excitement. She couldn't hear from Randy much so every time she got in contact with him it was something she enjoyed and looked forward to.

While he waited for Courtney to answer the phone, Randy was at the front desk talking lowly to the man there about calling Courtney to get her downstairs.. It wasn't that hard of a thing to do considering Courtney did have his last name and he had all that he needed to prove who he was.

"Hey sweetie. You busy?" Randy asked, nodding at the guy and tipping him for agreeing to call Courtney down to the lobby to let her know that it there was a package for her.

Courtney was about the answer Randy when she heard the hotel phone start to ring. She shook her head and chuckled softly, of course someone else would interrupt her right now.

"No but the hotel phone just rang so hold on a second." Courtney said apologetically before she put her cell phone down.

She answered the hotel phone and was told about the package and said she would be down in a couple minutes. After hanging up on the guy Courtney picked up her cell phone again.

"Randy I just got a call to head down to the lobby, I'll call you back in a couple minutes. Okay?" Courtney asked.

"Hm..oh yeah...okay.." Randy said in mock disappointment, trying to fight back a chuckle. He nodded at the guy at the front desk before heading over to one of the chairs and sitting down while he waited. "...I'll talk to you later."

"Talk to you later babe, love you." Courtney said before she hung up and rushed to the door.

She wanted to make this as fast as possible so she could get back on the phone. Once she got into the elevator she pressed the lobby button then waited the few minutes it took to get down there. Courtney stepped out when the doors opened then went to the front desk, too much in a hurry to realize Randy was sitting in a chair not too far away.

"Excuse me, I'm here to pick up a package. I'm Courtney Orton." Courtney said.

Randy really had to stop himself from laughing when Courtney walked right past him. He really hadn't expected her to be that out of it. "Package is over here." Randy said, not getting up from where he was sitting and not turning around to look at her either.

She wasn't expecting Randy to be there so when she heard his voice it confused her for a second before she turned around. Courtney walked closer to him then it finally clicked in her that it was Randy and her eyes widened.

"Oh my god Randy!" Courtney exclaimed with a smile before she ran over and hugged him.

"I know it's been awhile, but damn..didn't think you wouldn't notice who I was."Randy joked, hugging Courtney back tightly.

Courtney laughed before she pulled away from Randy.

"Sorry. I was in a rush to go back upstairs and call you back. I miss you so much while on tour and I don't get many chances to talk to you so I like to charish the moments when I can." Courtney said.

Randy chuckled. "Yeah...well..soak all of this in while you can, I'm here for the rest of the weekend."

"I'm really happy you were able to come here. I'm sure Vince didn't make it easy for you though." Courtney said, starting to feel a bit guilty.

"Doesn't matter, I'm here, that's all that matters." Randy smiled.

Courtney nodded, her mood lifting quickly as she smiled back.

"I agree. Thank you so much for coming, this is the best package I've ever gotten." Courtney said.

"That was the plan, glad I succeeded. How's the tour going?" Randy asked.

"Really, really good. So much better than I was expecting. I've been getting great reviews for every concert." Courtney said, her smile widening.

"That's really good to hear, babe. Glad everything is going well." Randy said.

"Me too. I haven't been this excited for a tour in a while so all the support everyone and my fans have been giving me means so much." Courtney said.

"You've been doing this for awhile, it doesn't surprise me at all. You're huge in the music business." Randy said.

"And your support means more than anything. I love you for being as amazing as you've been my whole career. You could have easily stopped me a while ago from continuing it but I'm really happy you believe in me as much as you do." Courtney said with a smile.

"You've supported me, it's the least I can do. It's really no big deal." Randy said. "I'd be pretty shitty if I didn't."

"Still though, I wouldn't have been able to do with this without you. I love you for everything you've done for me Randy and I'm so grateful to have you in my life." Courtney said with a sincere tone in her voice.

"Well...thanks, Court. I love you too." Randy said. "And I know you meant all of that and appreciate it."

Courtney smiled then stood up.

"You want to see my suite? It's amazing and the view is just incredible." Courtney said.

Randy nodded and stood up. The bellhop had his bag and would probably drop it off later, so he didn't have to worry about that. "Yeah, c'mon let's see it."
