I'm fine (Carmen)

Izzy laid in her bed, she just wasn't acting herself lately, but she was sure it wasn't too noticeable. Or was it? She had no idea, but she just really wasn't feeling well. She just laid in her bed, hugging her Zebra stuffed animal. Izzy heard the noise of her door opening, but didn't really react to it.

Carmen had noticed that Izzy hadn't been acting herself lately. She opened the door into Izzy's room.
"Izzy? Sweetie can I come in?" she asked.

"Yeah." she muttered softly, not looking at Carmen.

Carmen smiled and walked in, shutting the door behind her. She sat on Izzy's bed.
"Are you feeling OK? You've been a little...off lately."

"A lot has been going on..." she said, "It's just school." she lied, "I'm fine."

Carmen tilted her head.
"Izzy you know you can tell me anything....I was a teenager too."

"I just don't want to talk about it now." She reluctantly said

"Please Izzy? I don't want you feeling all.....magoo about something."

"I'm just not feeling too well, and if I'm going to tell anyone what's going on, I should tell daddy first."

"I think I'm better to talk to about problems than your dad sweetie."

"But Carms, you wouldn't understand. You're not my real mother even though I think of you like that. You might take this differently than my dad and my mom."

Carmen frowned a little.
"Izzy, I promise to help you anytime you want," she stood up and headed for the door "Call me if you wanna talk."

"Carmen," she sighed, "Wait, I'll tell you. But you have to promise not to tell my dad. I have to tell him."

Carmen turned around and sat in the same spot.
"I promise sweetie."

"Me and Curtis had sex." she said quietly, "And now I'm pregnant." she teared up a bit.

Carmen looked shocked.
"Oh Izzy....oh baby doll....that reminds me of a girl I knew when I was your age....she had sex with her boyfriend and got pregnant. Her parents weren't happy about it and everyone at school kept calling her a slut and stuff like that...you know what she did?"

"What?" Izzy asked

"She had an abortion because her parents told her it was the right thing to do...and she regrets listening to them everyday of her life, you know how I know that?"

"How do you know that?" Izzy asked

"The girl was me."

Izzy hugged her, "I don't know what to do." she cried, "Daddy's gonna kill me."

"I promise you he won't...he'll be civil about everything."

"Since when have you ever known my father to be civil about anything? I come in the door two minutes past curfew and he flips out. How do you think he'll take this?" she asked

"Do you want me to talk to him? Maybe I can make him understand."

"I have to tell him though."
