Dinner With Mr. Ferguson.

"Yep, when I come back then we'll talk." Courtney said, which probably came out more sternly than she intended, as she walked into the kitchen to get the drinks.

Allie sighed softly, "Oh boy.."

Jason stayed silent, not wanting to say anything stupid.

Allie looked over at Jason, "Don't worry so much, otherwise you'll make me nervous."

"Sorry, just trying to control myself so nothing stupid slips out."

Allie shook her head at him, "If something does slip out, good luck."

"Well that makes me feel better..." he muttered

"You're welcome." Allie said.

Courtney walked back in with water for everyone then set the glasses down on the table. She sat down afterwards then looked at Jason unimpressed as she put her napkin on her lap.

"So you're the asshole who broke my daughter's heart." Courtney said.

"Yeah, I'll admit it, I am." Jason said

Allie slapped her forehead after Courtney's statement. Great way to start things off, she thought to herself. Allie looked between the two before Jason answered, but decided to stay quiet.

"Before this even starts I'm going to tell you right here right now. You ever treat Allie with that little respect ever again you better hope I don't ever find you because I will rip you apart limp by limp then bury you alive." Courtney warned harshly.

She then nonchalantly grabbed the basket of bread and held it out.

"Bread?"

"Well, after that lovely visual, yes please." He said

Allie couldn't help but admire the way Courtney was handling Jason. Allie looked between the two again before giving Courtney a small smile in appreciation. If she knew one person who truly cared about her, it was Courtney and that was all she could ever ask for.

Courtney nodded then put the bread down in front of Jason along with the butter to spread on his bread if he wanted to. She saw the small smile Allie was giving her then smiled back. Even though Allie wasn't biologically hers that meant nothing to Courtney, in her mind Allie might as well be with how much she loved her.

"Tell me about yourself Jason. Where are you from, who are your parents, how old are you, all that stuff." Courtney said as she started eating.

Jason took a piece of bread and put it on his plate, "I'm from St. Louis, my dad is Ryan Ferguson, I don't really know my mother, and I'm 17 years old." Jason said as he buttered his bread.

"Why are you interested in dating my daughter again? What are you intentions with her?" Courtney asked.

"Well, I really like your daughter an I feel bad about hurting her. She's an amazing young woman and even if we don't date I would just like her as a friend."

Courtney nodded.

"Good." Courtney said, satisfied with his answer.

"Bullshit." Allie muttered softly before taking a bite of her mashed potatoes.

Jason heard Allie's remark, but chose to ignore it as he started eating.

Courtney's head shot up and raised an eyebrow when she heard Allie's comment then looked at Jason when he didn't say anything.

"Were you lying to me?" Courtney asked.

"Mrs. Orton, I don't know what kind of person you take me as, but I am not a liar."

Allie's eyes widened slightly as she turned to Jason before looking back down at her food.

Courtney stared at Jason for a few moments, a stern look on her face.

"Let me ask you something Jason...did you tell my daughter that you would never hurt her at least once before she broke up with you? That you weren't like most guys and you actually would treat her right?" Courtney asked.
