"You're welcome." John said before he closed the door then got in his car.

Elle put her seatbelt on.

John started driving.

"Can we go to Ben and Jerry's?" Elle asked.

"Sure." John said.

"Sorry for being so cranky back at the house." Elle said.

"It's okay." John said.

"I don't mind thinking for you if you want." Elle said.

"No it's okay." John said.

"You sure?" Elle asked.

John nodded with a smile.

"Very sure." John said.

"Okay." Elle said. "Did you figure out what you're going to get Randy for his birthday?"

"Can I put my name on whatever you get him?" John asked.

"Kyle was going to do that." Elle said.

"And I can't?" John asked.

"He's your best friend and your birthday is in a few weeks. You'd want him to give you a gift that personally came from him." Elle said.

"I guess you're right." John said.

"He'll love your gift and if you want we can do it together and I can just tell Kyle what I had in mind for Randy." Elle said.

"I think I might get him a motorcycle. He won't stop talking about how much he wants one." John said.

"He'll love that." Elle said.

"Yeah and maybe get his logo on it so it's personalized." John said.

"That's a great idea." Elle said.

"Thank you." John said with a smile.

"You're welcome." Elle said. "Speaking of birthdays, I have bad news about yours."
