A Small Distraction (Anyone)

Elle walked around the large space she had turned into her office as she talked on the phone. Since the office in the house wasn't doing it anymore and Elle was getting busier and busier, Elle figured it was time to invest into a bigger space. Continuing to talk on the phone, the voice sounding like a murmur as Elle's concentrated on all the things she had to do.

Sighing, Elle put her phone on speaker as she sat down at her desk and leaned back in her chair to look out a the view she had. Muttering the occasional "Uh huh" or "Yes", Elle took a sip of her coffee as sketch book rested on her lap as she drew.

Hearing a knock on the door, Elle looked up, not really expecting anyone to be there. But needing to get away from this phone call, Elle quickly hung up.

"Come in, it's open." Elle yelled.

Rai peeked her head in and held out a bag. "I brought you food."

"You said the magic word. Come on in." Elle said, dropping her sketch pad and coffee on her desk.

Rai came in and sat the food down. "I made a bunch considering Jeff won't let me clean so when he laid down to take a nap I snuck away to bring you some." Rai sat down with a sigh.

"Here you are risking to get in trouble for me, I feel so special." Elle said. "So, thank you."

"No problem. He's driving me up the damn wall. Ever since we found out we were having three he has been over protective." Rai said as she looked at Elle.


(Decided to go for an odd number.)

Elle dropped the fork she had in her hand.

"By three, you mean you're having three kids?" Elle asked.

Rai nodded. "Yep found out at our last ultra sound. Only know the sex of one of them."

"Wow...congratulations." Elle said.

"Thanks. So far we know we are having a boy. The other two not so sure and your lucky we haven't even told anyone about having a boy." Rai shifted. "Matt and Dave are just as bad when I have to do a show."

"Understandable, you are carrying three little ones in you." Elle said.

"Yeah but it starts to get annoying. The funny part is watching Nitro, Mickie, and Adam hitting people for me. Chris tries to keep me from getting grumpy. So what do you have going on around here?"

"This is the beginning of my new fashion line." Elle replied. "The house couldn't hold the racks and racks of clothes I had in the office, so I needed more space. So, not only can I start working on designing and making the clothes, but I can also have clients that I style for come here."

"Makes sense." Rai looked at the texts she had just got and groaned.

"It does, I'm excited about it. I'm finishing up some stuff for Courtney that I told her I would make." Elle said.

Rai nodded with a smile. "That's great. Also there's cookies in that bag." Rai said as she laid a hand on her stomach. Her phone chirped and she looked at it and rolled her eyes.

Rai hit ignore.

"Thanks." Elle said, pulling a cookie out of the bag and putting it in her mouth as she sent a quick text.

Rai hit the button again in annoyance.

"Maybe you should just turn it off." Elle said, getting up and grabbing a few a garment bags.

"Would if I could. If I don't answer when Jeff calls he will get panicked also I'm waiting to hear from my doctor about my stress levels." Rai said. She saw incoming call and picked it up. "Nitro I am so about to kick your ass. Stop calling or I will castrate you!" "Okay sorry. Wanted to ask you something." "Now is not the time. Just please let it wait." "Fine. Oh by the way Matt said he knows you snuck out and he will find you." Rai rolled her eyes. "Bye Nitro." She closed her phone then got up and looked around at clothes and designs.

"Even I wasn't hounded like that when I was pregnant, just harassed to death by Orton." Elle said, moving the garment bags she had in her hand to a rack by the door so that she wouldn't forget them later.

"Nitro is worried. He doesn't want me to miscarry again." Rai said absentmindedly then she groaned. "Shit I forgot him and Dave were the only ones who knew."

Elle raised her eyebrow.

"Uh...okay." Elle said, unsure of what was going on.

"When I was dating Christian I got pregnant and miscarried. Nitro found me when I was going through it and took me to the hospital. He also called Dave. I didn't know I was pregnant and was wrestling. Stress and a few Kill Switches were what started it." Rai explained. "Nitro is hoping I don't go through it again cause I was in a dark place." Rai sighed. "Didn't mean to unload a little past on you."

"No, it's fine. I understand, I miscarried twice in my life, so I get it." Elle said.
