Christmas Away From Home (Cena's)

Elle grunted when she felt the bed shift and someone crawl up in between her and John. Soon after small footsteps could be heard and the next thing Elle knew, the sheets to the bed were somewhat being tugged down. Elle groaned as her eyes fluttered upon and she saw Anthony sitting in between her and John with a wide grin on his face. She rose up and noticed Savannah and Cameron standing at the end of the bed and attempting to climb onto the bed.

It killed Elle that they couldn't be home for the holidays, but she had so much work to do in New York, that the family decided to stay in one of the penthouses in a hotel for the holidays. It was like a home away from home. They set up a small tree in the living room of the penthouse to make it somewhat feel like the holidays.

"Merry Christmas!" Anthony explained standing up and jumping on the bed. The twins chimed in, repeating what Anthony said.

Savannah rubbed her eyes before she ran over to the large glass window and stared out of it in awe.

"It's snowing!" She exclaimed as she looked out, it being her first time seeing snow since it never did in L.A. and they only visited John's parents or the Orton's when it wasn't snowing. Anthony and Cameron ran over and looked at the New York skyline in awe.

"Whooaaahh." They said in unison.

Elle smiled as she looked over at John and kissed him gently on the lips. "Merry Christmas. Maybe today won't be so bad after all, that look on their faces right now is priceless."

John opened his eyes and rubbed the sleep out of them. He smiled as he looked at the kids and the looks on their faces before looking over at Elle.

"Yeah. They look pretty happy, we should have come to New York last year." John said with a chuckle.

"Guess so, I now don't feel so bad about dragging you guys away from home for the holidays." Elle said.

"Presents!" Cameron yelled before running away from the window.

Anthony nodded before following, attempting to pull Savannah with him who was still looking out the window.

"C'mon...all of you." Anthony said.

"We'll be there in a few, let your sister enjoy the snow and your dad I wake up." Elle said.

John chuckled as he slowly got out of bed then went into the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and put on a pair of shorts and a shirt before he walked back out. When he was out of the bathroom he went over to Savannah and kneeled down next to her.

"Like the snow sweetheart?" John asked.

Savannah turned her head and looked at John, nodding.

"It's pretty. It doesn't snow at home." She said before looking back out the window. "Can we go out there?"

Elle smiled at the both of them as she got out of the bed and went to the bathroom. She pulled on a light jacket over before she brushed her teeth. She walked out to the living room area where Cameron and Anthony were.

"Can we open up presents now?" Anthony asked.

"Wait for you dad and your sister." Elle said as she grabbed the room service menu to order breakfast.

"After you open your presents and have breakfast." John said.

"That's so long." Savannah said with a pout.

"I know, sweetheart, but it'll be worth the wait." John said.

"Promise?" Savannah asked.

"I promise. Now come on, Santa gave you a bunch of presents." John said as he stood up and picked Savannah up.

"Whoah...Santa came all the way here?" Savannah asked in shock.

"Of couse he did. You've been a very good girl, he had to find you." John said.

"Really! I thought we'd have to wait." Savannah said.

"Nope. All your presents are right here." John said.

Savannah smiled widely and wiggled to get out of John's arms.

"Hurry up! I wanna open presents." Anthony said.

"Yeah, c'mon!" Cameron said.

"We're coming, we're coming." John said with a chuckle as he put Savannah down.

Savannah ran over to her brothers and sat in between them.

Elle chuckled as she sat down in a chair by the tree.

"Can we open them now?" Anthony asked.

"Yes, go ahead." Elle said.

Anthony and Cameron reached over and grabbed a box, tearing apart the wrapping paper.

Savannah sat down as she thought about which one she wanted to open first.

John walked over to Elle then picked her up and sat down before he put her on her lap. He wrapped his arms around his wife before he kissing Elle on her cheek.

Elle smiled and leaned back against him to whisper in his ear. "I have a gift for you, but it's at home waiting for you." She said, still keeping an eye on the kids.

Savannah grabbed a box and began to open it.

"Cool!" Anthony said, taking out the Wii from the wrapping and smiling widely.

John smirked.

"I have a feeling I'm going to love whatever you have for me." John said.

He pulled a wrapped rectangular box from his pocket then handed it Elle.

"Well my present happens to be here in New York, Merry Christmas babe." John said with a smile.

Elle smiled widely as she took the box from John and gasped when she opened.

"Babe, it's beautiful, I love it." Elle said, kissing John on the cheek. "Can you put it on me?" She asked as she moved her hair to the side.

"Of course, I'm glad you love it." John said as his smile widened as he took the necklace.

He wrapped it around Elle's neck then clasped the two ends together so it could rest on her neck.

Elle looked down at the necklace when it was on and then at John.

"It really is beautiful, thank you John." Elle said before she reached over to grab her phone. "Hold on, I can show you your gift." She said as she typed away at her phone before she handed it over to John. "I know you've been eying that car for awhile and I went down to one of those damn car shows, which you owe me for, I got lost like ten times. But anyways, I found it."

John looked at the phone then saw the car and his eyes widened.

"You...got me...this?" John asked.

He stood up in shock before a wide smile appeared on his face.

"Holy...wow! This is awesome!" John exclaimed.

Elle smiled seeing John's reaction and sat on the arm of the couch.

"I'm glad you like it. You deserved it, so I decided to spoil you a bit." Elle said.
