Christmas Day (Orton's)

Usually for Christmas all the Orton's went over to Randy's parents house but this year they decided to do something different. Courtney rented a cabin for the week and they just arrived. It had snowed some but not too much when they got there. Courtney got out of the car and picked Max up from his car seat as Kayla and Jake jumped out of the car.

"This place is huge." Kayla said as Jake nodded in agreement and stared at the cabin.

"Yeah it is, I can't wait to see how it looks inside. It looked nice on the website." Courtney said.

Randy got out of the car, grabbing everyone's bags before making his way to the cabin.

"Well, so far so good. I'm liking this place a lot." He said as he approached the door. "You have the keys, babe?"

"Yes I do." Courtney said as she reached in her purse and grabbed the keys then went to the door.

She unlocked it then opened the door and watched as Kayla and Jake ran inside.

"Wow! Look at the Christmas tree, it's huge!" Kayla yelled.

"Where are the presents?" Jake asked.

"Santa hasn't arrived yet, you have to wait until tomorrow." Courtney said as she walked inside then put Max down.

She then started to look around the cabin.

Randy dropped the bags off in the middle of the living room.

"How about you kids get settled into your rooms and your mom and I will get some hot chocolate ready." He said as he kissed the top of Courtney's head before leading her into the kitchen.

"Okay, come on Max. I'll help you find your room." Kayla said as she took Max's hand and walked off with him and Jake.

Courtney smiled as she looked at Randy and kissed him softly on his lips.

"I like this cabin, it's really nice." Courtney said as she grabbed cups out of a cabinet.

Allie walked inside after grabbing her bag and looking at the outside of the cabin. It was amazing, and she wondered what it looked like on the inside. She knew it was probably amazing, and she was right. She walked past the kitchen to see Courtney kiss Randy.

"Ew." she joked.

(I just noticed this. Wow, I'm so stupid...)

Randy smiled down at Courtney before he head the 'ew' and he turned his head to look at Allie.

"Why don't you go up with the kids and we'll get some stuff ready down here?" He offered as he went to the fridge to go through it.

"Kids have to be hungry." He said to Courtney.

"Okay." Allie said before going down the hall where the rooms were.

Courtney nodded as she went to the freezer.

"You make the hot chocolate and I'll make pizza and french fries." Courtney said as she pulled pizza and french fries from the freezer.

"Sounds good." Randy said, getting the box of hot chocolate and some milk out of the fridge. He poured some milk into a pot to warm it and went to get some cups.

Courtney put the pizza and fries on two pans then put them in the oven.

"I think the kids are going to like having Christmas here this year." Courtney said.

"I agree, it's a great change. Plus it looks beautiful outside." Randy said.

"Hey Kayla!" Allie said. "Do you know whose room is whose?"

"Yeah it does. We got here in time though because I heard we're supposed to get a lot of snow." Courtney said.

Kayla looked at Allie.

"You just pick one except the master bedroom is mommy and daddy's." Kayla said.

"I heard. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad outside, I want the kids to be able to enjoy the snow." Randy said.

"Okay, thanks Hon." Allie smiled at her little sister before walking into a random room.

"I hope so too. It would suck if they couldn't go outside and play." Courtney said.

"You're welcome." Kayla said as she went into her room and started jumping on her bed.

Allie started unpacking her things. When she was finished, she sat on her bed.

"It would, I want today to be perfect for everoyne." Randy said.

"Me too and then tomorrow as well. Though I think when they get their presents it won't matter if it's snowing or not. They'll be too focused with their toys." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"True, the snow will be the least of their concern." He chuckled. "I need to get the presents out anyways, I hid them in a few of the bags."

"Good idea thugh I'm surprised they didn't go peaking through the bags to find them." Courtney said.

"I am too. Unless they fooled us all of and already peaked." Randy said, turning off the stove and pouring the milk into the cups.

"Trust me if they peaked someone would have said something already." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"Unless they learned how to keep a secret for once." Randy said. "...that's not going to happen." He chuckled.
