"We're okay, what makes you think something is wrong?" Courtney asked.

"I'm not saying anything is wrong. Just want to make sure everything is going to be okay." Randy said.

"We'll be fine." Courtney said.

A couple hours later Courtney groaned loudly as she leaned back against the pillows on the bed. Her hair was full of sweat as she tried to get ready to push again. The doctor told her how the hardest part was over with the baby's head out now and she just nodded in response, completely exhausted.

"Can't you just pull him out now?" Courtney muttered as she took deep breathes.

"You're almost there, keep doing what you're doing. The baby is almost out." Randy encouraged.

Courtney nodded then pushed again and stopped a few seconds short when exhaustion really started to set in.

"Come on Courtney one more big push."

She shook her head as tears started to fill her eyes. Courtney was trying hard to concentrate so she could get enough energy to push but it seemed to be harder this around then it was with Jake.

"C'mon Court, you can do it. He's almost out." Randy said, moving some hair off of her forehead.

Courtney swallowed hard before she gripped onto Randy's hand a bit tighter and gave one last big push. She continued pushing until she heard a loud cries fill the room. When she stopped pushing she took deep breathes and started to relax as she stared at her and Randy's baby. Tears started forming in her eyes as the baby boy was placed on her chest and she held him close to her.

"Hey baby, I'm your mommy. I'm so happy you're finally here." Courtney whispered.

"You did great." Randy said to her, in awe as he looked at the small baby.

Courtney smiled at Randy as she rubbed the baby's back to calm him down.

"Thank you...and not just for the compliment." Courtney said softly.

"Randy would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" the doctor asked.

"Uh...sure...." Randy replied a bit nervous.

The doctor showed Randy where to cut it then handed him the scissors.

"You would think he were a first timer." the doctor joked with a chuckle.

"He's just never had to do all of this before." Courtney said as she continued to smile.

"I don't mess anything up." Randy said, grabbing the scissors and cutting the cord.

"You did it perfectly." the doctor said.

"Want to hold the baby?" Courtney asked Randy.

"Yeah." Randy replied, his hands outstretching to hold the baby.

Courtney carefully placed the baby boy into Randy's arms then leaned back against the pillows to relax.

"He looks so much like you." Courtney said.
