Courtney nodded with the smile still on her face then stood up when she heard name being called.

Elle shrugged. "Maybe that was it for me. I wasted all that time with Randy, I probably lost my chance with a good guy."

Courtney followed the nurse into a room then lied down on a chair. She was told the doctor would be with her in a moment.

The doctor came in a few minutes later and instructed Courtney to lift her shirt up so she could put the gel on her stomach. When the ultrasound started Courtney looked at the screen.

"The little got right here is your baby." the doctor said as she pointed to the screen.

Courtney smiled and started to tear up a bit as she sat up a little so she could look closer.

Elle shrugged. "Not too sure what to believe anymore, everything around me is falling apart."

Randy looked up at the screen and his eyes widened. He looked at in shock. That was his kid? The reality of the situation finally hit him, all that happened and where he's at now. He was too nervous and scared to get up, but just stared at the screen.

"I'll go get your sonogram." The doctor said with a smile before leaving the room.

"Wow...it's so tiny." Courtney said as she stared at the screen.

John sighed. He just never knew when to shut up.

"Well um...a boyfriend would usually pick up the pieces of his new girlfriend who was recently hurt...and um one day. Not now if you're not ready I'd like to be the man to make you feel loved." John said.

Elle looked at John blankly for a second before a smile slowly appeared on her face. "John...I..." She paused for a moment. "...you've been there for me so much the last few weeks and you always have been. No one's ever made me feel that special...especially as you have now. I..uh...don't think I'm ready to jump into things now, but I'd like to take it slow."

"You and me both." Randy said. "Can't believe all of his happening. My wife is going to divorce and I'm going to be a dad."

John looked at Elle in shock as he listened to her. Was she really giving him a shot to be with her?

"Can you say that again?" John asked, making sure he wasn't hearing things or dreaming.

"I want to give us a shot..slowly, but nonetheless, I don't think there is any guy who could treat me the way you do." Elle said, before she leaned over and kissed John gently at a stop light. Something about John's words comforted Elle, it made all of her pain go away, and it just felt...right.

"Not your fault. I was the one who was lying to the both of you. I'm sorry." Randy said.

John kissed Elle back. Wow. That was all that John was thinking at the moment was wow. He always knew he liked Elle a lot but when he felt the electricity and passion in their kiss it confirmed it even more.

Courtney nodded then looked up when the doctor came back in and gave her the sonogram.

"I'll see you in six weeks."

Courtney smiled and nodded.

"Okay, thank you." Courtney said, wiping the gel off her stomach before getting up.

Elle's eyes fluttered open she pulled away from the kiss. "I think you need to drive." She said softly, noticing the light was now green. She kissed his cheek gently before she settled back into her seat.

"Oh right!" John exclaimed before he turned to the road and started driving again.
