Randy followed Courtney inside and grabbed a basket.

Courtney went to the ice cream aisle then started filling the basket with tubs of party cake ice cream.

Randy looked down at the basket and his eyes widened.

"That's just a lot of ice cream." Randy said.

"I think that should be enough." Courtney said as she put one more tub into the basket.

Elle broke the kiss, breathing heavily. "Damn..." She said with a smile.

Randy nodded and pushed the basket to the register. When he got there, he began to load the ice cream onto the conveyor belt.

John smiled as he tried to catch his breath.

"I must be good all around if you keep cursing." John said with a chuckle.

Courtney helped Randy put the ice cream on the conveyor belt then stood aside so he could pay.

Randy paid for the groceries. He stuck his wallet back into his jeans and pushed the basket back out to the car.

"Care to tell me which things?" John asked.

"Thank you for buying me ice cream." Courtney said, smiling widely as she walked to the car.

"Welcome." Randy said, opening the trunk and loading the bags into the car.

Courtney helped Randy load the bags into the trunk then got in the passenger seat of the car when all the bags were in the car.

Randy got into the drivers side. He started the car before backing out and driving towards the house.

Courtney turned on the radio and started flipping through radio stations.

Randy continued to drive towards the house.

Courtney settled on a station after a few minutes then looked out the window.

Randy pulled up to the house about ten minutes later. He parked the car in front of the house and got out, to get the bags out of the trunk.

Courtney got out of the car then grabbed some of the bags and walked to the house.

Randy followed Courtney into the house. He went into the kitchen and put the ice cream in the freezer.

"I'm glad you and I have moved forward in our relationship, I really want to one day call you my wife." John said.

Courtney put the ice cream into the freezer but kept one out on the counter and grabbed a spoon.

Elle couldn't help but tear up a little at what John said. It wasn't much, but she hadn't been talked to and treated this way in so long. "Could you be anymore perfect?"

He then noticed the tears and frowned.

"Did I say something wrong?" John asked.

Courtney stuck her spoon into the ice cream then ate some.

"Much better." Courtney said with a wide smile.
