Nine Months, Twice Over (John)

"I really, really do." Elle said.

"Good, glad you do." John said.

Elle kissed John's cheek again. "Go eat before the food gets cold."

"Okay." John said as he sat down on a chair and started eating.

Elle walked back over and took a seat. "Everything good?"

"Everything's great." John said with a smile.

"Good, now that you're home you get to relax and I get to spoil you." Elle said.

"And in return I get to spoil you. This is going to be fun." John said.

"No, no, don't worry about me. You've been on the road for awhile now, you get to relax and let me pamper you." Elle said.

"You're pregnant with my child, you're getting pampered by me whether you like it or not." John said.

"You're on the road for weeks at a time. I can take care of myself, you need the rest." Elle said.

"Elle, you can't stop me from pampering you." John said.

"Babe, you work all the time. I sit at home, I don't mind worrying about you for a few days." Elle said.

"You sure it's not too much trouble?" John asked.

"Of course it's not." Elle said. "I can stand on my two feet for now."

"Alright but when you get to the point you can't get off the couch without help I'm pampering you." John said.

"You know I'd find a way to work around that." Elle said.

"You are never going to allow me to pamper you are you?" John asked.

"Probably not." Elle replied with a smile.

"I'm doing it anyway." John said stubbornly.

"No, no, I won't let you." Elle said.

"Too bad, I'm doing it anyway." John said.

"I'll be sure you won't be able to when the time comes." Elle said.

"You have such little faith in me." John said.

"I can say the same about you." Elle said.
