It Never Ends

Elle looked out the window as John drove, trying to keep her nerves under control.

John put his hand on Elle's leg then gently rubbed it, sensing she nervous. He then arrived at the building twenty minutes later and sighed as he unbuckled his seatbelt.

John had calmed her down a little, but not much. She felt her nerves pick back up again when they pulled up to the building. She let out a sigh as well as she unbuckled her seat belt and got out of the car.

John took a few minutes to sit there in the car. This was the moment of truth. Where he would finally be able to come out and say what he's been wanting to say since the allegations came out. He just hoped everything would go well and they could soon go back to their daily lives. After swallowing hard he slowly got out of the car then walked over to Elle and took her hand.

Elle gave John's hand a squeeze when he grabbed it. "Like you said, it'll all work." Elle said softly as they walked towards the building.

"Yeah...I hope so." John said as he took a deep breath in.

"We know the truth, they have to believe us." Elle said.

"True, I just hope it's not too late to fix everything and we don't get in anymore trouble after this." John said.

"We won't, it'll all turn out fine." Elle said.

John nodded then walked into the building and walked to the front desk. Once he was told what room to go to he and Elle walked to the elevator.

Elle walked into the elevator when the doors opened and pressed the button to the floor it was on.

When they got up to the floor and stepped out a woman immediately approached them.

"Oh the Cena's, come follow me." She said before walking towards a room.

John gently rubbed Elle's hand with his thumb before he followed the woman.

"Nice to meet you." Elle said, following behind the woman. "I'm Elle and this is John."

"I'm Lindsay, I'll be doing your interview today. It's nice to meet you both."

"It's nice to meet you too." John said with a friendly smile.

"It's great to meet you Linsay, ready when you are." Elle said, returning the smile.

"Great, sit down. Make yourselves comfortable." Lindsay said with a smile.

John nodded then sat down on on of the chairs while Lindsay sat on down in front of them, the camera crew getting prepared to start filming.

Elle sat down in one of the chairs, crossing her legs as she waited.

Lindsay nodded at the camera guy then looked at John and Elle.

"Ready?"

"As ready as we'll ever be." John said.

Elle nodded. "Let's get this started."

"When was the first time you met Cassie Monroe?"

"She came into my locker room, she said she was my new assistant. Vince hired her to help me with some things because I was really busy." John said.

"Anything sexual?"

"No, that's not why she got hired. She was there to be his assistant, John's very busy." Elle commented.

"How would you know that Elle? Were you with them both all the time?" Lindsay asked.

"No, but I trust my husband. And that's not exactly professional to have relations with an assistant, John isn't like that." Elle replied.

"Exactly, I'm not and I'm a happily married man. I don't need an assistant for anything sexually when I've got an amazing wife." John said.

"Funny you say that, you have cheated on Elle several times before isn't that right?" Lindsay asked.

"What does that have to do with this?" John asked.

"It just shows your wife isn't always aware of your actions so she could just be saying nothing happened with you and Miss Monroe so she doesn't have to deal with the truth."

John shook his head at Lindsay.

"Nothing and I repeat nothing happened between Cassie and I. She can claim whatever she wants but I never touched her and sure as hell didn't rape her." John said sternly.

"Cassie was the one who hit on, John. He wouldn't lie about that. Yes, he's made some mistakes, but he's learned from them and is a better man. It's not right that someone can take advantage of him and our family like this." Elle said.
