Dinner With Mr. Ferguson.

Allie sighed as her tears began to fall more frequently down her face. "I can't stop crying."

"It's going to be rough for a few days, I know. It's going to be okay though. I promise you, the pain will go away." Courtney said, gently rubbing Allie's back.

"I just always get the douchebags." Allie said.

"Sometimes you have to get your heart broken a few times before you find the one. Then when you do he'll do anything be able to pick up the pieces and put them back together." Courtney said.

"I hope so." Allie said softly.

"It'll happen one day, trust me." Courtney said reassuringly.

"Again, I hope so."

Courtney nodded then turned her attention back to the tv.

"You want to watch something else?" Courtney asked.

"No this is fine, whatever it is." Allie said softly.

Courtney nodded then leaned back against the couch as she started watching tv again.

Allie sighed to hide that her head was going crazy and her heart was exploding with 1,000 different emotions. She just wanted this evening to be over. Yep, Allie officially hated life. And it sucked.

Courtney looked at Allie then gently rubbed her back.

"Maybe you should go take a bath, relax a little, then go to bed. It might make you feel better." Courtney suggested.

Allie nodded and sat up. "Yeah, maybe I'll calm down."

"Let me know if you need anything, okay?" Courtney asked.

"Okay." Allie said with a small smile.

"Enjoy yourself." Courtney said, smiling back.

"Okay." Allie said before walking upstairs.

Courtney went back to watching tv for a few minutes before she started taking the kids upstairs to get ready for bed.

Allie sighed as she got used to the warmth in the bathtub. She closed her eyes in relaxation as she let the water soak away all of her troubles. Allie couldn't help but let her mind wander to Jason once again. She would think of all of the good times the two had but then she would remember how much of a douchebag he turned into. She was lied to again, and now she was putting her foot down. Allies vowed to not to let another guy hurt her the way Jason did. Allie nodded to herself in confirmation to her promise before closing her eyes again.

Courtney watched as Kayla and Jake brushed their teeth and helped Max with brushing his. When that was done she took them each to their rooms then tucked them in and wished them a good night. She went to Allie's room on her way to her own to make sure she was okay, smiling softly when she saw her asleep. Courtney closed the door slowly before going to her room and falling asleep.

The next day, Allie woke up with a small yawn. Allie actually did pretty good with falling asleep last night, she didnt cry herself to sleep. Allie threw her legs over the side of her bed before hopping off. She quietly walked downstairs to the kitchen and grabbing a glass. She walked over to the refrigerator and poured herself a glass of milk.

Allie placed her glass in the sink after she was finished before walking back upstairs. Allie walked to her parents' bedroom in search of Courtney. She quietly opened the door and looked to see if she was still asleep.

Courtney was already up and in Max's room getting him out of his bed. She picked him up then walked out the room and was going to wake up Kayla and Jake when she saw Allie peaking into her room. With a grin Courtney walked up to Allie and stood behind her.

"Good morning." Courtney said.

Allie jumped in shock before turning around with wide eyes. She let out a small breath and glared playfully.

"You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Allie said, holding her chest as she calmed down.

Courtney started laughing.

"Sorry, you okay?" Courtney said.

Allie chuckled.

"I'm fine." She said.
