Just Talking (Courtney)

"I'm glad I could help you, it always nice to have a friend that you can vent to." Courtney said.

"I agree. And the fact that you don't mind my senseless rambling is great too."

"I like to think I'm a good listener." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"Well, just so you know, you are." Lucky chuckled

"Thank you, I'm glad you think so." Courtney said, smiling.

"Trust me, I know a good listener when I come across one. It's a rare find, though." Lucky smiled

"That's too bad, the more people listened others the better this world would be." Courtney said.

"I'm guilty of that, I have selective hearing. I can only hear what I want to hear." She said, "It's a terrible disease that most people are infetced by."

"I used to be the same way but I chose to get better with listening during my marriage. It's never fun to be ignored." Courtney said.

"It's hard to be ignored, especially by everyone who used to listen. Everyone wants to be heard but when the tables are flipped, no one wants to listen." Lucky said, "And it's sad because, it's true."

Courtney nodded.

"It sucks, I've been lucky enough to surround myself with good people most of the time though." Courtney said.

"Unfortunately, I'm an awful judge of character, either that, or most people I meet are just two-faced. "

"Yeah, I get what you're saying. I think everyone's gone through kicking people out of their lives due to the other person being untrustworthy." Courtney said.

She nodded, "And I'm the one who's being discarded."

"That really sucks. I'm you have to deal with all that crap, you don't deserve it." Courtney said.

"I probably do deserve it, I'm not as innocent as I may seem." Lucky said, "I should stop whining."

"You're not whining, it's not your fault people don't want to listen to you and what you feel." Courtney said.

"I just feel like I drove everyone away. That people were listening, but just got tired of hearing the same old story over and over again."

"Real friends stick by you no matter what. Support is everything when it comes to people who are going through a rough patch in their lives." Courtney said.

"Everyone just needs to get over themselves. If it were anyone else in my position, they'd be begging for mercy. I don't ask for much, but is it so much to offer a little support or comfort every once in awhile?"

"Not at all. Certain points in my life were really rough and if I didn't have Randy or Elle by my side I don't know where I would be today." Courtney said.

"It pays off to have real friends." she nodded

"I agree, it certainly does." Courtney said.

Lucky nodded, "Very helpful."

Courtney nodded then looked down at her menu.

"Wow...I just realized we never ordered anything." Courtney said with a chuckle.
