Giving Her a Break (Skyla)

After many annoying lectures from his dad, many aggravating calls from her dad and some questions from his kids that he didn't have the answers to, he finally gave in. It had been almost one month since the blow out and separation. Jeff had been laying low from everyone including Skyla. But, today was the day he had to see her. He was taking the kids to visit her, and afraid that she would run off with them he was going to stay for the duration of time.

He pulled up to the house and got out, letting the three children out of the back seat, and grabbing Aaron from his car seat.

Skyla was sat in the lounge with her mother, Charlotte. They were watching television in silence. Charlotte was used to it by now, Skye had hardly uttered a word to anyone since the trial separation. There was a knock at the door.
"Steve get the door!" Charlotte shouted from the lounge.

When the door opened, all the kids came running in

Skye was shocked when she saw the kids run into her.
"Oh my God! Oh my little angels!"

"Hey mommy!"

"Hello everyone" Jeff greeted

"Hey Jeff darling." Charlotte smiled.
"Hi." Skye said, trying to avoid eye contact.

Jeff gave Charlotte a hug

"Uh, the kids missed you all so I bought them over for a little while"

''Thank you.'' Skyla smiled at Jeff.

"There your kids too" he shrugged

"You're such a dear Jeff." Charlotte smiled.
"Can I see you in the other room for a minute?" Skye asked

"Uh... sure" he nodded

"Mom can you watch them for a minute?" Charlotte nodded as Skye went into the other room with Jeff.
"What made you bring them?"

"Like I said they've been asking for you"

"And its taken you all these months to decide to be civil?"

"I'm not here to be civil with you, the kids are!"

"Can you please not yell my parents are in the other room. They're still in complete doubt that we're separating."

"I'm not yelling, I'm just saying you're wasting your time with me, while you should be spending time with them"

"I'm not, wasting my time with you! I don't care what you say or what you do, how you treat me, I still love you."

"You have a good way of showing it"

"You wouldn't know. You've been rejecting calls and this is the first visit for months."

"I need time" he shrugged "Don't push it"

"I'm not pushing it...well I'm trying not to."

"Good so don't start now"

"I'm not going to....I just want to talk to you."

"What's there to talk about?"
