Not What We Were Expecting (Courtney and Elle)

Courtney nodded.

"I'm sorry that I'm ruining your dress by the way." Courtney said.

"You ruined my purse too." Elle jokingly says. "It's alright Court."

Courtney nodded.

"I'm happy my best friend got to deliver my baby...you think you could at least get Randy on the phone to hear Jake when he's born? Like when he first cries." Courtney said.

"I'll get him on the phone and you need to push." Elle says, grabbing the phone and dialing Randy's number.

Courtney nodded before she started pushing.

"Hello?" Randy asks, answering the phone.

"You can stop Court." Elle says, putting the phone on speaker.

"What's going on?" Randy asks.

"Your wife wanted you to at least hear the baby since you can't be here." Elle replies.

Courtney stopped pushing then started taking deep breaths.

"Yeah...the baby decided not to wait any longer so I'm giving birth in an elevator." Courtney said.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be there sweetie." Randy says.

"Court I just need one big push and I think he'll be out." Elle says.

"It's okay." Courtney said before she clenched her teeth and pushed.

"You're doing great Court." Elle says, coming up a few moments later with the baby. "I may need to rip your dress a bit though to wrap the baby in...mine's kind of ruined."

"Wait. Jake's here?" Randy asks.

"I don't mind...and yeah he's here." Courtney said as she rested against the wall.'

She looked at Elle.

"Why isn't he crying?" Courtney asked.

"Not every baby cries Court." Elle replies.

"Well make him cry for me." Randy says.

"Shut up Orton." Elle says, ripping off some of Courtney's dress and wiping the baby off.

"Elle he needs to cry." Courtney said.

"Why?" Elle asks.

"Because I want to hear my son damn it." Randy yells into the phone.

"Well, I guess you got your wish." Elle mutters, holding the baby away from her as he starts to wail. "Your kid has a set of lungs on him."

"That's my boy." Randy says.

Elle rolls her eyes, handing Courtney the baby.

Courtney chuckled as she held Jake.

"Shh, it's okay sweetie. Aw you look just like your daddy." Courtney said with a smile as she started rocking Jake.

"He does?" Randy asks.

"No, the baby looks like Carlito." Elle sarcastically says.

"Shut it Elle, don't ruin our moment." Randy says.

Courtney laughed.

"Yeah honey he does. I can't wait for you to see him, where are you?" Courtney asked.

"Outside, waiting for them to get you two out of there." Randy replies.

"Oh." Courtney said with a chuckle.

She then heard the doors start to move a little.

"I think we might be able to get out of here soon." Courtney said.

"Thank god." Elle says.

"I know." Courtney said.

Twenty minutes later the doors finally opened.

Randy rushes to the door.

"Thank goodness." Randy says.

Elle helps Courtney up as Randy walks into the elevator.

Randy shakes his head, giving Elle his jacket before standing next to Courtney.

"How are you and the baby?" Randy asks.

"Okay, I'm just exhausted and Jake's sleeping." Courtney said with a small smile.

Randy nods his head.

"Okay, let's get you three out of here." Randy says. "Thank you by the way Elle."

"Not a problem Orton." Elle says.

Courtney looked at Elle with the smile still on her face.

"You seriously are the greatest best friend in the world." Courtney said.
