Settling The Feud (Matt and Jeff)

Jeff sat at the bar then ordered a beer as he waited for Matt. They were going to talk about everything and hopefully be close like they were before again.

Matt walks into the bar, looking around for Jeff.

When he sees him, he walks over to the table Jeff was at and sits down across from him.

Jeff looked at Matt.

"Hey." Jeff said.

"Hey." Matt says.

"Thanks for showing up. I've missed my big brother." Jeff said with a small smile.

"No problem, I missed hanging around you too." Matt says

"I heard your girlfriend Ashley was pregnant with twins. Congrats." Jeff said.

"Thanks, I guess news travels fast." Matt says.

"Yeah it does. So what's been up with you?" Jeff asked.

"Nothing just spending time with Ashley and working. You?" Matt says.

"Working, painting, and singing." Jeff said.

"How's all that working out?" Matt asks.

"Pretty good. I'm glad the crap with Riley didn't ruin anything. She's such a bitch." Jeff said.

"All that was a mess." Matt says.

"I can't believe she went psycho on me for doing what she asked me to do." Jeff said.

"What are you talking about?" Matt asks.

"She asked me to babysit Matthew the night she stabbed me so I came over and took him because she told me if she didn't answer the door when I knocked to just come in and take him. Then all of a sudden you guys come and don't give me a chance to talk before you beat the crap out of me. Riley came back later then starting acting all psycho and was holding a knife and coming at me. I punched her...but I didn't know she was pregnant I swear I didn't. It probably wasn't the right thing to do but what else was I supposed to do? She ended up stabbing me in the end." Jeff said.

He showed Matt a piece of paper.

"That's the email Riley sent me asking me to babysit Matthew that day." Jeff said.

"What the hell?" Matt says, confused.

"Riley told a bunch of lies to try to make everyone hate me, I have no idea why. Maybe because we were closer then you and her were." Jeff said.

"I just don't get it....I mean all that stuff that happened." Matt says.

"Was all part of her stupid plot. I just I knew so I could tell you. What happened to dad wasn't my fault. I came over to repair his roof then Riley tried to push me off the ladder and dad tried to stop her but had a heart attack." Jeff said.

Matt shakes his head.

"This is unbelievable." He mutters.

"I just can't believe she's that desperate to be loved by everyone that she would make up crap. I'm surprised she hasn't tried to kill Courtney to be closer to Randy." Jeff said.

"I'm guessing things aren't good between you two either." Matt says.

"Randy and I, Courtney and I, or Riley and I?" Jeff asked.
