Mixed Emotions (John/Elle)

"Glad, I stopped you then." She says.

John smiles

"I'm glad you did too."

"You are?" She asks. "I thought you were really mad at me."

"Elle I was mad at the fact that Orton was the one holding you and I wasnt."

"You do realize that meant absolutely nothing." Elle says.

"Yeah, but it just hurt."

"You know Randy when it comes to me, he gets into overprotective mode and won't leave me alone until he thinks I'm okay, whether I like it or not." She says.

"That is not going to change the way I feel." John says

"I'm sorry for the way you feel, but you just stormed out of here." She says.

"Yeah I cause I needed to go talk to someone before I punched another hole in a wall and broke something else." John says letting her go

"That seems to be your answer for everything." Elle says.

"Elle I went to freaking chruch for help." John says

"Instead of staying with me..nice John." Elle says.

"Forget it." He says getting out of the shower

Elle turns off the shower before following him out.

"No, I'm not going to forget it. This is the problem with us, we can't fucking talk or we just walk away." Elle says, wrapping a towel around her.

"I tried talking to you last night Elle. What did you do shut me out or blamed yourself for something you couldnt control." He says

"But I could control it John." Elle says.

"How Elle? Every time you talked to her in the past she would put you down. Then when she was clean she was still married to the prick of a man. So you tell mw how you could have control it or even stop it." He says

"Because she needed me John. She reached out to me and I pushed her away. I wanted nothing to do with her when she needed me the most, I could've stopped her from overdosing..I know I could've." Elle says, trying not to cry.

"Elle you cant blame yourself for this. She couldnt expect for you to be there when she need you most because she wasnt there when you needed her most." He says

"But she's my mother John and she needed me, it was the least I could do." She says

"I just dont want you get hurt all over again." He says

"It's too late for that, she's dead." Elle says.

"Well I still dont want to see you hurting Elle. I know you are, but I worry about you and our babies." John says cupping her face

Elle nods her head, looking down as she starts to cry.
