Christmas Day (Orton's)

Courtney laughed.

"No it's not. Especially with Max, if he found the presents he would have ripped the paper off of them. He's still too little to know how to be sneaky." Courtney said.

Randy nodded as he started the mix the milk and chocolate.

"True, guess the kids decided to be good this year and actually listen." Randy said.

"I won't expect it too often." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"Now all you have to do is open the bags and find the presents." Kayla whispered to Max before she pushed him gently towards the bags.

Max ran over to the bags then started pulling the zipper back on one.

Courtney looked over then saw Max and walked over to him.

"Mister what do you think you're doing?" Courtney asked before she picked him up and tickled him.

"Kayla told me to." Max said as Courtney carried him to the kitchen.

"Kayla." Randy said, sternly crossing his arms over his chest. "We aren't opening gifts yet and even if we were, they wouldn't be in that bag. They're still at home." He lied.

"What?! How could you forget the presents?!" Kayla exclaimed.

Allie chuckled lightly at the whole situation.

"You didn't really forget them, right?"

"I didn't forget them, just didn't want to carry them here. Figure you all could wait until we got back to open them." He said with a serious tone.

Allie gave him a look. "Excuse me?"

Kayla glared at Randy then kicked his leg before she stormed to her room.

"No presents?" Max asked as his lip started to tremble.

"You'll get them when you get home sweetie." Courtney said as she kissed him on his cheek.

Randy glanced at Allie. "You heard me, you'll get the gifts at home." He said.

He shot Kayla a look. "You need to control your daughter, Court." He said, bending down to rub his leg.

"Or better yet...maybe I should return Kayla's gifts since she wants to act naughty." He said loud enough for Kayla to hear.

Allie winced as Kayla kicked Randy's leg.

"And how'd that turn out for you? You know, leaving the gifts at home?"

"Yeah I think that's a good idea until she learns she can't go around kicking her dad." Courtney said.

Kayla came back out pouting and crossing her arms. She went over to Randy then kissed the spot she kicked.

"Sorry daddy." Kayla said.

"Don't get smart Alia, I can return your gifts too." He said before glancing down at Kayla. "Uh huh...sure you are."

Allie gave Randy a shocked look when he used her proper first name. "Alrighty then." she said before sitting down on the floor.

"I am. You're the best daddy ever and the best superstar ever. Wayyyy better than Cena. And I love you so much." Kayla said with a smile.

"We'll see how long that lasts." Randy said to Kayla.

"I just want to know when you kids got all wrapped up in the gifts. Christmas isn't even about that, it's about spending time with your family and enjoying it together. Not about getting a doll or something." Randy said.

"Your dad barely gets to see you guys you know and he misses you a ton. So I think it would be good if you didn't worry about all the toys and actually worried about spending time with him. Christmas is the longest break he gets from the road after this he's going to be gone again for most of the week every week all year long." Courtney said.

Kayla pouted.

"I'm sorry Daddy." Kayla said.

"Sorry Dad." Jake said.

"Sorry." Max said.

"Can we go outside and make a snowman together?" Kayla asked.

Allie frowned.

"Sorry."

Randy nodded, going back into the kitchen to take the food out of the oven.

"After you eat Kayla." Courtney said as she sat Max down on a chair at the table.

Randy took the food out of the oven and went to go get some plates.

"You can sit down if you want, I've got it." Courtney said as she put hot chocolate power into the cups then poured milk into all of them.

"No, I'm good." Randy said, a bit stand offish as he set the plates down on the table.

Courtney looked at Randy confused.

"What's your problem?" Courtney asked.

"Nothing, I'm good." Randy said.
