Nine Months, Twice Over (John)

Elle looked at him and smiled. "Yeah..so am I."

John smiled back then took Elle's hand and gently rubbed it with his thumb.

Elle looked down at her stomach and smiled. "Good timing.." She said as she put John's hand on her stomach. "One of them is kicking."

John smiled widely as he felt the baby kick.

"Wow...that's amazing." John said.

"Yeah, it is." Elle said. "I still can't believe we're having twins."

"Me neither but I'm happy we are. They'll be a handful but I can't wait for them." John said.

"Have you decided when you were going to come back home?" Elle asked.

"I can come home whenever you ask me to but I'd like it to be soon." John said with a chuckle.

"Within the next month." Elle suggested.

John nodded.

"That sounds good to me." John said.

"Great." Elle said with a smile.

John smiled back at Elle then rubbed her stomach before he began eating again.

Elle smiled back at him and leaned back in her seat.

Elle was six months pregnant and she was a lot bigger...the joys of having twins. John was set to move back in the house and well, the house was chaos. She had just gotten back from another appointment, she had to go to the doctor more often and frequently for check ups and Anthony was with her, not looking pleased at all. She's assuming the shopping/gushing about the twins didn't help either.

On the way back, she stopped by the mall to pick up some stuff for the kids, she seriously wanted everything to be ready before she was forced into bed, which would be soon. Plus it wasn't like she could walk around for too long before her feet started to kill her, so getting ready for the babies was a slow work in progress. She was thankful that John was coming home, besides missing him, she could definitely use the extra hands around the house.

"Dumb twins." Anthony muttered walking into the house behind Elle and then storming upstairs.

"Anthony! Anthony..." Elle said with a sigh, dropping the bags down on the ground. "Goodness..." She said with a sigh as she held onto her stomach and sat on one of the steps of the staircase. She was tired and it showed, maybe even a bit stressed, but hell...what else was new?

John was happy to finally be able to come home after being away from it for so long. He missed Elle and Anthony and wanted to be there to help with the twins. When got to the house he parked the car in the garage and got out. He walked in through the door and into the kitchen then looked around. John walked around then headed towards the stairs where he saw Elle.

"Hey, you okay?" John asked.

"Hm? Oh yeah, fine. Hi." Elle said, slowly raising up and pecking John on the lips.

"You should probably sit down on the couch, it's a lot more comfortable." John said.

Elle shook her head. "I can't. I need to finish up the rooms, Anthony hasn't eaten yet nor is he talking to me, and you just got home."

"I'll take care of all of that for you and I don't care if I just got home you need to relax." John said.

"John, I'm fine. Really." Elle said.

"Are you sure?" John asked.

"Well..I could use some help with the twins' room, but everything else I got." Elle said.

"Alright, I'll be happy to help." John said with a smile.

"Thank you. Glad you're home." Elle said, pecking him on the lips.

"I'm glad I'm home too, I missed being here." John said as he kissed Elle back.

"I missed you being here too." Elle said with a smile as she cupped John's face in her hands. "So did we." She said, glancing down at her stomach.
