If? Courtney could feel her heart break into pieces when she heard Randy say that. She got up from the couch then walked upstairs as tears started to fill her eyes. Courtney looked at her cell phone on the bed then grabbed it and texted Justin. If she could do anything to help her marriage just a little bit she knew breaking things off with Justin and refusing to have anymore contact with him would be a good start.

Justin...look I can't talk or see you again in private. If we happen to be at the same event I'm going to have to stay away from you. My husband and marriage is one of the most important things in my life and I think my choices as of late with have affected them both. I'm sorry but this is what's best. Bye.

Courtney put her phone down on the bed then stared at the wall, trying to figure out what to do next.

Randy ran a hand down his face when Courtney left, sinking down into the couch he was sitting. He was saying most of what was said out of anger, but he didn't approve of what had happen.

Justin got Courtney's text and shook his head.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think you should let your husband affect your career. Nothing is going on between us, it's just work.

Courtney tilted her head to the side as she looked down at her phone and read the text. She grabbed it then texted back.

My husband is NOT affecting my career. He's done nothing but support me since the beginning of it. Not doing a single with you isn't going to kill my career. And I know that it's just work but he doesn't and I don't need to put him though yet another magazine reporting that I could be cheating on him when I'm not just because I'm hanging around you. He knows we almost kissed once so he has every right to say no to me wanting to record with you.

Whatever, Courtney. This is your decision to make. But if you want your husband to make decisions for you regarding your career, go ahead. If he has a problem with me, who knows what else he'll try to stop you from doing. But you're going to do what you have to do.

Stop insinuating that my husband controls me. You think I would even have a career if he did? Before he had problems about me being on tour a year after my youngest son was born and he could have easily pulled the plug and told me to stop singing but he didn't. So before you start spewing out crap about him know what you're talking about.

Courtney threw her phone on the bed in anger then walked into the bathroom. Her day just continued sucking and if she didn't take a long bath she was probably going to end up exploding.

Justin didn't answer, rolling his eyes in annoyance. He'd find away to make it up to her later, but just couldn't pretend to be nice about the situation for much longer.

Randy got up and went over to the kitchen. He grabbed a take out menu and the phone and called a Chinese place, ordering some food.

Courtney removed her clothes and got into the bathtub when it was full of water. She leaned her back against the wall as she started to relax.

Randy finished ordering the food and walked back over to the couch, sitting down.

After ten minutes Courtney got out of the tub then put on a pair of shorts and a tank top. She grabbed a brush then ran it through her hair for a couple of minutes before walking out of the bathroom. Courtney headed downstairs then heard the doorbell and looked at the front door curiously before looking at Randy.

"Are you expecting someone?" Courtney asked.

"Its food." Randy replied, getting up from the couch and walking over to the door. He got his wallet off the nearby table by the door before opening it. He paid the deliveryman and took the bag of food, closing the door with his foot.

Courtney nodded then grabbed a can of beer and a water bottle for herself. After closing the door she walked over to the table and set the drinks down before sitting down in a seat.
