Another Surgery (John/Elle)

"Alright." John says pullling out his phone calling his mom

"Put it on speaker." Elle says.

John put the phone on speaker

"Hello." Carol answered

"Hey mom." John says

"Hey sweetie." Carol says

"Hey Carol." Elle says.

"Hey Elle." She says with excitement

John smirk knowing the sound of his mother's voice

"How are you?" Elle asks.

"I am doing better now that I can hear you voice. How are you doing?" She asked

"I'm good, just sititing here with your son. He had his surgery today." Elle says.

"I know." Carol says "How are you John."

"Sore."

"She? She cares." Elle mouths to John.

"More about you." He mouths

"So where is my grandson?"

"No, you." Elle mouths to him.

"He's asleep right now." Elle replies.

"no you." He mouths

"So Elle when are you coming to visit?"

Elle shakes her head at John.

"Uh, I don't know. Soon I hope, I miss seeing you." She says.

John nodded slowly trying not to hurt his neck


"I hope so. I miss you more than anyone else right now."

"I hate it when you're right." Elle mouths to John.

"Aw, Carol that is so sweet." She says.

John smiles widely


"Well its true sweetheart."

"Too bad you can't have your prize now." Elle mouths to him before pouting.

"Thank you Carol, I'll be sure to come down there really soon then." She says.

"Damn." John mouths


"Well kids have to get going."

"Okay Carol, talk to you soon." Elle says.

"Alright bye." Carol says hanging up the phone


John shuts his phone

"You aren't getting that prize for awhile because you're injured." Elle says.

"Yes I will. Watch me."

"You can barely move your neck. How do you expect to do it?" Elle says.
