A Day Of Firsts (John/Elle)

"Anthony, hurry up!" Elle yelled from downstairs as she made breakfast. She looked up at the clock, knowing that there was still some time left before her and John would have to take Anthony to his first day of pre-school.

Anthony muttered under his breath as he walked downstairs a few minutes later.

"I don't want to go." Anthony said, throwing his backpack by his chair before sitting down.

Savannah giggled at Anthony, causing Anthony to shoot a glare at her.

"Mean." Cameron said, sticking his tongue out at Anthony.

"Anthony calm down. It won't be that bad." John said.

"Sure it won't. You haven't been to school in how long? You have no idea what it'll be like." Anthony said.

"You'll make a lot of friends." John said.

"I still don't want to go." Anthony said.

"It'll be fine." Elle said, putting a plate in front of Anthony and John.

"It won't. This is dumb. Why do I even have to go?" Anthony said.

"So you can be smart." John said as he started eating.

"I am smart." Anthony said.

"Smarter." Elle said as she fed Savannah and Cameron.

Anthony rolled his eyes.

"This is so stupid." Anthony said.

"No it's not." John said.

"It is too. I'm not going." Anthony said. "I'm going to be a wrestler or a pro football player, I don't need to go to school."

"I went to school." John said.

"And...?" Anthony asked.

"If I had to go so do you." John said.

Anthony shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm not going. You can't make me." Anthony said.

"Yes I can." John said.

Anthony let out a low chuckle.

"No you can't." Anthony said.

John grabbed Anthony and picked him up and put him over his shoulder.

"What are you doing?! Put me down!" Anthony said.

"Now you believe me that I can make you go anywhere?" John asked.

Savannah laughed.

"Daddy up!" Savannah said.

"Yeah, put me down." Anthony said.

John picked up Savannah as he held Anthony on his shoulder.

"Put me down now!" Anthony said.

Savannah giggled.

"Not until you agree to go to school." John said.

"Mom!" Anthony yelled.

"Your mom will agree with me." John said.

"I don't care....just put me down." Anthony said.
