Cena Family Dinner

"These pictures don't look like just lunch. They look like you could be having a secret affair." John said.

Elle rolled her eyes.

"I am not you, I have always been faithful to you." She said.

"When are you going to stop with that you're not me bullshit? I'm not cheating on you anymore and you're not exactly a perfect little angel yourself Elle so just fucking quit it." John said harshly as he slammed the magazine down on the coffee table as he walked into the living room.

"The hell is that supposed to mean?" Elle asked. "I have done nothing but been good to you. I go out of my way to take care of my kids and you, work my ass off and still take care of our home." She said.

"You keep thinking you're so much better than me but these prove that you may not be. You could be having an affair just to get back at me for having an affair." John said.

"Think about what you just said. If I was going to have an affair, wouldn't I be smart enough to not be out in public with the guy? I have no reason to cheat on you, I don't want to destroy this family." Elle said.

John just shook his head, not believing it, then got up and went into the kitchen. He grabbed a beer before going back into the living room and taking a sip of it.

"You have no reason not to believe me, John. I've been nothing but honest to you." Elle said.

"Uh huh whatever. I know the truth but feel free to keep lying. I know you will." John said.

"You are such an asshole. I can't believe you." Elle said.

"Give me a reason why I should believe you even though those pictures tell a totally different story." John said.

"Because I'm your wife. And I've never given you a reason not to believe me." Elle said.

John held up the magazine.

"Reason number one." John said.

"And I'm telling you, nothing is going on." Elle said.

John looked up at Elle.

"Fine." John muttered.

"Are we over this?" Elle asked.

"Well obviously you aren't going to admit it so I give up." John said.

"So, you don't believe me. Wow, John." Elle said, rolling her eyes as she turned around and walked upstairs.

John got up and followed Elle.

"How am I supposed to believe you when the proof is in that magazine? Our own son most likely believes you're cheating on me." John said.

"Because I wouldn't lie to you, John. I have no reason to. I love you, I wouldn't cheat on you with anyone. If you can't believe that, then you're only feeling insecure cause you fucked up." Elle said.

John sighed then ran a hand down his face.

"Sorry." John muttered.

"Whatever John." Elle said going into their bedroom.

"What do you expect me to think when I see those pictures and find out he's one of your models? If you're allowed to yell cheater at me everytime you get angry I'm allowed to accuse you of cheating on me when there's proof right in front of me." John said.

"A cheap gossip magazine is not proof, John. Half the shit in there is a bunch of lies to sell a magazine." Elle said. "What you did and what you THINK I did are two opposite things."

"Pictures don't lie. What are you going to claim? They photoshopped you putting your hand through his hair?" John asked.
