Birthday Trip

"Go you for doing so, you're a smart cookie." Courtney said with a smile.

Allie giggled. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome." Courtney said.

Allie grinned before playing with her phone. "So what do you have to do today?"

"Today's my break so I don't really have to do anything but relax." Courtney said with a chuckle.

Allie smiled. "Aw yeah! Can we have a Law and Order marathon?"

"Yes! I need one, I haven't watched that show in weeks." Courtney said.

She put the pancakes on the plate then put some more batter into the pan.

"Yay!" Allie cheered with a smile.

Courtney chuckled again as she finished up breakfast. She grabbed two plates and started loading them with pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, and eggs then put both plates on the table.

"What do you want to drink?" Courtney asked as she walked to the fridge.

"Milk...coffee. Either one is fine." Allie said.

"If I put milk in your coffee you would then have both." Courtney said with a grin as she took two cups out of the cabinet.

Allie gasped. "That's right...do it. Do it!"

"It's how I like my coffee, I have it like that every morning." Courtney said as she poured coffee into the cups then the milk.

"Well I'm trying two new things today. I don't believe I've had milk in my coffee before." Allie said.

"It's pretty good. That's how my mom used to have it." Courtney said.

"Ice cream pancakes and milked coffee." Allie said. "This is already a great day."

"Even better than your birthday or is this like icing on the cake?" Courtney asked.

"Icing on the cake, nothing can ever beat my birthday." Allie said.

"Glad you feel that way, it took a lot of planning but it was worth it seeing how happy you were." Courtney said with a smile as she placed the cups of coffee on the table then sat down.

Allie grinned. "Thanks again for everything. It was so wild."

She clasped her hands together and looked at her pancakes. "I'm ready for this."

"You're welcome, I'm glad you're enjoyed everything." Courtney said before she began eating.

"Wow."

Allie smiled before taking a bite of her pancakes.

Allie stared after swallowing her piece. "...I just thought of the most brilliant thing on the planet."

"You did, these are actually pretty darn good." Courtney said before she continued eating.

Allie grinned and bounced excitedly as she continued to eat.

"We've got to make this for everybody else when we're all together." Allie said. "This is crazy."

"They'll think we're crazy until they try it. This is the best pancake I've ever had." Courtney said.
