It Never Ends

"I ended up going to my producer's studio to work on my album a little bit." Elle said, beginning to drive back to the house once Carol was settled in the car.

"Oh, that's nice? When is the album coming out? Or have you not decided that yet?" Carol asked.

"Hopefully soon." Elle said. "I'm hoping before the year ends, but you never know. It's done, we're just mixing it and picking out the songs we want on it."

"Let me know when it does go on sale and I'll buy it. I always love supporting what my family does." Carol said with a smile.

"And I do enjoy that one song 'I want it all'. It's very catchy."

"You're our biggest fan, I love it." Elle smiled. "And thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the song."

"I need to be, I'm the mom. It's my job to be all of my kids and kid-in-laws cheerleader." Carol said with a chuckle.

"You're welcome. My eldest boy Dan's daughter loves it. She sang it to me the other day, I should have recorded it for you. It was so cute."

"We really are lucky to have you, Carol." Elle smiled. "Aww, oh my god. That is so cute. I wish I could've seen her. That makes me so happy to hear, you have no idea."

"I'm lucky to have you all too." Carol said with a wide smile.

"I'll make sure you are the next time. It was the cutest thing ever, I love my grandbabies. They're all so special to me." She said, her smile widening as she gushed.

"They all love you too. You have no idea how much the twins and Anthony love spending time with you." Elle said.

"I love spending time with them too, I really wish I could do it more often. I adore spoiling them to death, it's my favorite hobby." Carol said with a chuckle.

"And they love you spoiling them, you have no idea how much." Elle chuckled, pulling up to the house.

"Where are they right now? At a friends' house?" Carol asked, grabbing her purse before she got out of the car.

Elle got out of the car. "Yes, they're at their friends house. Didn't think they should be home right now." She said, walking to the door and unlocking it.

"That's probably a good idea, they don't need to know about what's going on right now. I'll just have to leave the presents I got for them in their rooms so they can open them later." Carol said.

"I think they'll like that a lot, not more than seeing you though." Elle said.

"I'll come back in a couple weeks if I can when everything's settled down. I never like missing my opportunities to see them." Carol said.

"That'll be nice, it really would. When do you leave?" Elle asked.

"In a couple days. I didn't really plan for anything too long, just a short visit to be with you all because I missed everyone." Carol said.

Elle nodded her head. "Yeah, sorry you had to come and go through all of this."

"Don't apologize for something you didn't cause. None of this is your fault." Carol said reassuringly.

"Not too sure what else there really is to say." Elle said.

"Just say you'll talk to John. I know it's going to be hard and he hurt you more than anything but this situation can't stay the way it is. You both still have three children to take care of. You remember how aware Anthony was when you two were having problems before and how upset he was? Do you really want to go back to that place in your and John's relationship where there was nothing but extreme tension?" Carol asked.

Elle looked at Carol as she spoke, trying not to say. "There's really nothing for me and John to talk about. But if it'll make you feel better, I'll talk to him." Elle said with a shrug.

"I just don't want your marriage to fail. You're one of a kind and I don't think if he had to in the end John could bring anyone home that's better than you." Carol said.

Elle shrugged. "He didn't really think about all of that before he tried to kill himself, hm?" Elle said and then closed her eyes, sighing. "Sorry, shouldn't have said that." She meant it, but it wasn't exactly the best thing to say to John's mother.
