Quality Time Together (John/Elle)

John looked at Elle and began studing her features. He wanted to do that...actually he wanted to do a lot more than that but he wasn't sure if Elle wanted to yet. It may too soon for anything sexual with how their relationship was after all the recent events.

"You sure about that?" John asked.

"It...it's just one kiss, right?" Elle said. She wouldn't lie and say she hadn't missed his touch, his kiss, and everything else. She didn't know if she wanted it to go further than that, but this couldn't hurt, right? Things had been good thus far, this was the least she could do. She was trying.

John nodded slowly and smiled a little, happy she was willing to try to move forward past things. He was going to respect her like he always has though and do as she wanted. No moves were going to be made unless she approved of them first hand. This was going to go as slow Elle wanted, not wanting to step on her toes and screw things up.

He then leaned forward and placed his hand on her cheek before kissing her softly on the lips.

Elle swore she felt her heart flutter and breathing hitch when John kissed her. She returned the soft kiss, her eyes fluttering closed. Yeah, she missed doing this with him, she had to admit it. "I missed you.." She admitted softly against his lips. Was she scared, yes. She didn't know what this meant, but she did miss how things used to be.

John smiled against Elle's lips when he heard her whisper to him that she missed him. It made him feel good to know she still loved him and wanted to be with him. He really did hate himself for a while for screwing up their relationship even more with the crap he did.

"I missed you too." John whispered back before deepening the kiss.

Elle couldn't help the involuntary moan that sounded from her when John deepened the kiss. Her arms instinctively moved to go around his neck as she returned the kiss with some eagerness, moving a bit closer to his.

John could feel his lower region harden when he heard Elle's moan. He hadn't heard her do that in a while and it was such a turn on. When she moved closer to him John wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her a bit closer so if she wanted to she had the ability to climb onto his lap.

Elle hesitantly pulled away from the kiss when John pulled her a bit closer. Sighing some, her eyes fluttered open and she smiled at him sheepishly. "I...I...uh, sorry.." She whispered softly, not meaning to tease him or get him all worked up for what seemed like nothing.

John blinked when Elle pulled away and it took a few moments for him to realize what just happened. "Damn it." he thought, shaking his head when Elle apologized.

"No, no it's not your fault. I knew better and I got carried away." John said.

He offered his wife a small smile to show it was nothing to get upset over. As he did John couldn't help but find her cute when she was nervous like that. It brought him back to the days they first began dating and she was too scared to make a move.

Elle shook her head again, feeling a bit stupid for doing this and backing out. She knew this wasn't easy on John and this only seemed to complicate thing. "No..no, it is my fault. I...I shouldn't have..I just..." She stopped herself, feeling her cheeks randomly get a bit flushed from how flustered she had gotten herself. "Sorry.." She simply repeated.

John reached up and put his hand on Elle's cheek then gently rubbed his thumb against it. He moved her head a bit so he would be able to look into her eyes. Of course it wasn't easy to be like this all over again with Elle but he knew why it had to be done, he screwed up. He screwed their relationship up and John needed to do everything he could to bring Elle's trust in him back to the way it was.

"You really need to stop apologizing, it's fine. We should probably find something else to do though." John said, chuckling slightly.

Elle sighed a bit, not able to stop herself as her head instinctively leaned into John's hand when he cupped her face in his large hand. They were making strides in the right direction, which was a good thing, and it was apparent Elle was open to trying to make this work. She was glad John was so willing to work through this all again, it definitely wasn't easy.

Nodding her head some, she kissed his cheek before pulling away. "Right, something else for us to do. What do you usually do to waste time while you're on the road?" Elle asked.

John chuckled embarrassingly at Elle's question. He had already given her an idea of something they could do, something he usually did on the road, and it obviously wasn't something she was interested in. No video games, John mentally etched in his head. He then looked at the tv and grabbed the controller.

"Well...we could watch some tv I guess...or we could stop by the mall and get something quick to occupy ourselves." John said.

Elle shook her head at John's last option, figuring it was better to stay on the road instead of stopping and prolonging the trip. There was no real need to. "No, no, we can watch t.v. That's fine." Elle said, resting her head on his shoulder. "We can watch a game or something or whatever movie is on."

John nodded then got up to find the remote which was located on the tv stand. He grabbed it before sitting back on the couch and turning the tv on.

"What do you want to watch?" John asked as she started flipping through the movie channels.

Elle thought for a moment, her lips pursuing as she thought of what to watch. "Is New Girl on? If not..whatever you want to watch is fine with me." She answered.

"Uh..." John paused as he flipped through a few more channels then finally found it.

He stopped on the show Elle requested before he stood up and walked to the mini fridge to get something to drink.

"You want anything?" John asked.

"If you have any soda, that's good." Elle said, curling up on the couch with her arms wrapped around her legs as she paid attention to the t.v.

John nodded then grabbed two diet cokes and walked back over to the couch. He handed Elle her can of soda before he sat down.

"This show any good? I haven't seen it before." John said as he opened his can and began drinking it.

"Thanks." Elle said, taking the can of soda and opening it. "Yes, it's really funny. A bit quirky, but I like it a lot."

John nodded as he sat back against the couch cushions as he started watching the show.

"So it's not too girly or anything? I'd actually like watching more than one episode?" John asked with a chuckle.

"No, no, it's not girly. It's actually funny, there's like three other guys who she lives with that make the show a bit more...manly, I guess. It's pretty good, you should enjoy it." Elle said.

John nodded then looked at the tv and began watching the show. A few minutes into it he was already laughing.

"You were right, this is pretty entertaining." John said.

"Oh what was that? I was right...that's nothing new." Elle joked, letting out a small laugh.

John grinned at Elle's response then looked at her and shook his head in amusement.

"Of course it’s not, when are you ever wrong sweetheart?” John asked with a chuckle.
