Catching Up With Family (Randy/Courtney)

"Yeah, I was talking to your mom Randy." Courtney said with a chuckle.

"Fine, fine you two lady's talk." Randy said, walking away.

Elaine chuckled.

"Nothing, sweetie. Still working at the hospital, but that's about it." She said.

Courtney nodded.

"Well it's always nice not having any drama in your life." Courtney said.

She then heard her cell phone ring and picked it up. Courtney's eyes narrowed as she listened to her manager then stormed over to the office and got on the computer. She shook her head as she looked at all the reports about Randy supposedly abusing her.

"You know what you can do? Tell Star Magazine, Radar Online, this supposed former close friend, and the rest of the liars, Ya'll can kiss my little white southern Louisiana ass." Courtney said before she slammed the phone down on the desk and stared at the computer screen.

Elaine saw Courtney stormed away and looked at Randy. "I will stay with the kids, go talk to her."

Weary, Randy walked upstairs an into Courtney's office. "What's going on? Is everything okay?" He asked, seeing the look on her face.

Courtney ran her hands through her hair in frustration.

"Apparently there's a person who's claiming to be a former friend of ours saying you're abusing me. It's all over the internet and it's on front covers of magazines now. My manager just called and told me." Courtney said.

She shook her head and dropped it into her hands.

"I can't believe this is happening." Courtney muttered.

"The hell?! Have they seen you! There's not a bruise on your damn body! This is going to kill me if it spreads any more than it already has." Randy said furious as he rand his hands through his hair. "We'll sue...we'll sue those fuckin' dirt mags for slander. We are not going to deal with this."

"Well apparently they're taking that one time when I had to go to the hospital after drinking too much wine into you beat me to a pulp and I had to be sent to the hospital." Courtney said.

She heard her cell phone ringing and grabbed it.

"You should probably get our lawyer on the phone so we can stop this shit from continuing." Courtney said.

"Seriously?! You were up and running in no time, if was beating you, you wouldn't have been on tour." Randy said, pretty much fuming. He slammed his hand against the wall a loud sound coming from the impact as he walked out of the office to get his phone.

Courtney jumped a bit when she head him hit the wall. She just sighed and let him cool off before she answered her cell phone.

"Hello?...No it's not true and I won't be answering anymore questions. Bye." Courtney said before she hung up.

Elaine heard the noise and hurried upstairs, seeing a furious Randy walk by her. She went into the office Courtney was at.

"Sweetie? You don't have to tell me anything, I'm guessing it's bad, whatever it is. Would you like me and Bob to take the kids for a few hours while you two handle this?" Elaine asked.

Courtney looked over at Elaine and nodded.

"Yes, please." Courtney said.

"Call me when things cool down, we can keep them overnight if you need us to. Thank you for the dinner, it was great." Elaine said, giving Courtney a reassuing hug before walking out of the room to get the kids and their stuff together.

Courtney gave Elaine a small smile before she sighed then stood up and walked downstairs.

Elaine grabbed an overnight back and was putting jackets on the kids.

"Has Randy come out of the room yet?" She asked.

"No. I came to get something to drink. I'll try to talk to him in a second." Courtney said as she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.

Elaine nodded.

"Okay, we'll see you later then. Hope everything is okay." She said.

"Good to see ya, sweetheart." Bob said, as he followed Elaine and the kids out.

"Thanks and it was good to see you both too." Courtney said.

She took a sip of water then walked up the stairs to her and Randy's room. Courtney opened the door then walked in.

"Randy?" Courtney asked.

Randy looked up from his phone.

"Yeah." He said, his voice very deep from the stres off all of this.

Courtney walked over to Randy then gave him a hug.

"Everything will be okay." Courtney said as she rubbed his back.

"Court, this is bad, really bad. Do you know what this could do to me?" Randy said.

Courtney nodded slowly.

"Just have faith that everything will be okay. We know it's not true and they have no proof to prove that you've done anything to me. Once we get our lawyer part of this and sue them and prove it's nothing but lies it'll blow over and you'll be fine." Courtney said.

"Babe, I appreciate the positivity, but they're already making it look like the bad guy here. I may be a lot of things, but I am not that." Randy said.

"I know. We just need to figure this out without you blowing up and punching walls." Courtney said.

"Court, I've had a hell of year. This is just icing on the fucking cake. I've held a lot of it in, I can't help but be mad." Randy said.

"I know you can't. I'm mad too but you can't act like this when we're in public anymore because of this crap. Right now we're going to be watched for a while just for the smallest fight so they can twist it around and make it into something it's not. We have to try to get past this the best we can without fighting." Courtney said.
