Cassie sighed and looked down. She had this story planned out for awhile, doing her research a bit on Elle's life, so she wanted to sound as tragic as possible."I was in and out of foster homes most of my life. My mother was addicted to drugs and my father beat the both of us before he ran off when I was seven. So, eventually the state ended up taking me away and I jumped around for most of my life to different homes."

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that." John said.

Cassie started to cry a little bit. "I'm...sorry...I don't mean to cry." She pulled away and wiped her eyes.

Cassie smiled at what he said and hugged him tightly. "Thank you...that is the nicest thing someone has said to me in awhile. You're such an amazing man John, you truly are."

"I think you can pull off blush. You'll look cute." She chuckled lightly, her mood seeming to shift as she wiped her eyes again. "I really appreciate that John. You have no idea how much this means to me."
