"Okay...well maybe it wasn't that bad after awhile." Elle chuckled.

John chuckled then grabbed Elle's hand and pulled her closer to him before he pecked her on the lips.

"I was teasing, I could never hurt you. I hate seeing you in pain." Elle said, her arms going around his neck. "Like I remember the time you got injured...and I wasn't anywhere near you, I was so worried about you."

"How do you think I felt? I let Anthony stay with one of my friends and race down to see you." Elle said with a sigh.

Flashback-October of 2007

Elle wasn't too sure what was going on, but she knew something was going on. Elle and John had been married for a short amount of time and their first child, Anthony, was a little over a year old. It was normal routine for Elle to casually watch Raw as she rocked Anthony to sleep and then she'd tune in and out of it as she did some things around the house.

John seemed a bit off after performing a hip toss after his match with Mr.Kennedy, though you wouldn't be able to tell cause he appeared later on in the show that night. But it all wouldn't add up until later that evening. She was panicking cause John didn't reach her, one of the people backstage did to tell her that John had torn pectoral muscle and that he was being flown down to Alabama to get checked out and to go into surgery that morning.

Elle wasn't sure what to do, she didn't want to bring Anthony with her, he was too young, so called up one of her friends and she agreed to keep an eye on Anthony while she went down to Alabame. She took the earliest flight that she could down there and arrived there later that morning, going straight to the hospital from the airport.

She arrived at that the hospital and was told John had gotten out of surgery and that she could go see him, even though he was still asleep.

Elle walked inside and started to tear up when she saw John, she grabbed his hand as she stood by his bed.

John started to wake up when he felt someone take his hand. He moaned and moved his head around as he slowly opened his eyes. When they were open he looked over and saw Elle. John smiled a bit when he saw her.

"Hey." John muttered groggily.

"Hey babe..." Elle said, softly bringing his hand to her lips and kissing it softly. "How do you feel? Wait..no, that's a stupid question." She answered herself. "I was so worried about you."

"I'm your wife..it's what I do." Elle said, carefully sitting at the edge of his bed. "I didn't know what to do when I heard you got injured and then I couldn't reach you.." Elle stopped herself so that she wouldn't cry

John sighed then squeezed Elle's hand a bit, trying to comfort her.

"I'm really sorry. They wouldn't let me call anyone. If I could have I would have called you." John said.

"I know it wasn't your fault." Elle said, her thumb running across his knuckles lightly. "I just got worried, I didn't know how bad the injury was."
