John's Birthday

"You're evil." John joked as he started eating his nachos again.

"And you love it." Elle said.

"Yes I do, it's what makes you so lovable." John said.

Elle grinned and pecked John on the lips. "Love you too."

John smiled before he kissed Elle back.

"Thank you for everything you do for me, I really appreciate it." John said.

"No, thank you for not getting fed up with me after what I did." Elle said.

"You were sorry so I forgave you, it wasn't like you did it on purpose. I'm just glad you didn't try to turn the whole Cassie thing around and accused me of trying to sleep with her." John said.

"John, I trust you. I knew that skank wanted you, I should've went with my gut instinct." Elle said. "I'm just glad you weren't so mad at me for being so focused on work and not you, that you didn't sleep with her out of spite."

"I should have trusted you when it came to her, you were completely right. And that was the old John. I'd never do that to you now, I'd rather get die then hurt you like I did before again." John said.

"I know you wouldn't and you've done so much to prove that to me. The least I could is not put work before your birthday. I spent the weekend at clubs in Vegas, I could've remembered and at least called you or something." Elle said.

"Yeah you could have but you're making it up to me now so don't beat yourself up over it." John said.

"Still feel bad over it." Elle said.

"Don't. I promise everything's cool, I don't hold it against you." John said.

"Wouldn't blame you if you did though." Elle said.

"I don't though so don't feel so bad, just have fun and focus on the game." John said.

"Okay, I will." Elle said, turning her attention back to the game.

John smiled then went back to watching the game.

Elle laid her head on John's shoulder again and continued to watch the game. She cheered whenever the Celtics made a point and booed when the Lakers did.

Half way into the game John looked over at Elle.

"I'm so proud of the fact you've caught onto basketball so fast." John said with a grin.

"I told you I wanted to understand something that meant a lot to you." Elle said.

"You are truly amazing, I couldn't ask for anyone better." John said with a smile.

Elle blushed and kissed his cheek. "Thank you baby."

John smiled widely.

"You're welcome beautiful." John said before he pulled his phone out and took a picture of Elle.

"What was that for?" Elle giggled.

"I wanted to take a picture of you blushing since you refuse to do it as often as I'd like." John said with chuckle.
